In recent years, as more and more teachers who teach Chinese as a foreign language use games in classroom, the role of game teaching method in improving the teaching effect, activing the classroom atmosphere and other aspects has been generally recognized by teachers. At the same time, the scholars who study on game teaching method is gradually increasing. However, by consulting relevant literature the author found that the study of classroom games for adult is still very weak, and the game teaching research on grammar which is the hardest thing to learn in Chinese is still a vulnerable spot. So by the author's experiment of teaching Chinese in the Confucius institute of the Santo Tomas University in Chile, the author carried an empirical studying classroom games of Chinese grammar teaching. The game teaching method is not only popular between teachers and students, but also can improve classroom atmosphere and the teaching effect. The author hopes this paper can provide some enlightenment for Chinese teaching in the world.This article is mainly divided into five parts.Chapter one is an introduction which mainly expounds the reason of topic selection, the meaning and purpose of this research, the research methods and innovation points. As well as to define the notion of the game teaching method, and summarizing the classification of the game teaching method.Chapter two is a summary about the game teaching method. On the basis of previous studies, the author analyzes the necessity of using games in Chinese grammar teaching.Chapter three is about the design and analysis of questionnaire. According to the survey results, the game teaching method in teaching Chinese as a foreign language has been commonly recognized by the teachers and students. They have a positive attitude about the use of class games. But most of the teachers use games in vocabulary teaching, using games in grammar teaching is little.Chapter four is the empirical study of classroom games in Chinese grammar teaching in Chile. The author selected the grammar of books to design games, and directly applied them on teaching experiment. Then analyzed the grammar test scores of two classes by the statistical software SPSS. Analyzing among the Chinese level, gender and grammar score whether have significant difference. According to the SPSS statistical software, the student in high Chinese level has high score, and the influence of gender on grammar score has slightly significant.The last chapter is the reflection and conclusion about the game teaching method. Through the author's teaching experiences to summarize the characteristics of classroom games as well as the principles of game teaching method. At the same time, according to the results of teaching experiments to illustrate the positive meaning and the limitations of game teaching method. Then summarizing the paper's main viewpoint, and pointing out some deficiencies in my research.
