As a modern Asian country that lacks resources but has rapidly emerged after World War II,Singapore has created a miracle of rapid development under the leadership of the People's Action Party and has always been concerned by the world. This is inseparable from its effective and authoritarian political model. The construction and operation of this authoritarian politics is inseparable from its unique political culture. When the current academic circles study Singapore's political issues, most of them study and research Singapore's “participating in one party”characteristic party system,or the relationship between authoritarian politics and democratic politics, and whether authoritarian politics can transform into democracy. However, few people regard the relationship between political culture and authoritarian politics as a systematic research object of Singapore's political issues. But the study of the relationship between political culture and political system is an important direction in the field of political science research.Singapore's authoritarian political model is a special form of political system with research value. And its political culture is also both eastern and western. It is worthy of study. In the current wave of global democratization, the political culture has also undergone changes. It has more features of democracy. Is Singapore's authoritarian political form enough to be changed? What will be changed? These are the problems that this article attempts to explore and solve. What is worth studying in Singapore is that it does not blindly copy Western models of democracy in order to quickly restore economic development.Instead,it integrates the actual conditions of the country, especially the political culture,on the basis of comprehensive analysis and research, exploring an authoritarian political model suitable for domestic development. In order to explore the authoritarian politics of Singapore from the perspective of political culture, the article uses literature research methods, historical research methods, qualitative analysis methods and comparative research methods to study the role and influence of different periods of political culture on the operation of authoritarian politics. It further analyzes how Singapore's political culture affects the development of authoritarian politics.Political culture influences the construction, stability, and transformation of the political system. The unique political and cultural characteristics of Singapore also played a role in the construction of authoritarian politics, which led to the formation of a political party system, theestablishment of a parliamentary democracy, and the formation of an elite model of state management. With the change of political culture in contemporary Singapore, authoritarian politics has also experienced a crisis, manifesting itself as a questionable institutional structure,an increase in the level of institutionalization,a lack of continuity in the model of elite governance, and the rise and expansion of the opposition party threatening the ruling position of the People's Action Party.Under such circumstances, authoritarian politics began to change and revise, through the revival of Confucian culture, the role of political elites, and the building of substantial democracy to improve the institutionalization level and legitimacy of authoritarian politics. At the same time, measures were taken to cultivate civil society. The opposition's survival and development space will increase the opposition's awareness of political participation and ability to participate in politics.Singapore's authoritarian politics is currently operating well.It can find and correct problems in a timely manner and maintain its normal operation. This also has a lot of enlightenment for other contemporary authoritarian political countries, enabling them to correctly understand their national conditions, dialectically treat foreign experiences, and build a stable political system that serves the development of the country and society. It is necessary to fully realize that the political system must adapt to the development of the economy, social changes, and changes in the culture. In particular,we must pay attention to the influence of cultural factors on the political system. Therefore,we must adopt measures such as shaping the values of stability to lay the ideological foundation.
