Research On The Application Of Voluntary Service Groups In Constructing Informal Support Network For The Rural Elderly

The proportion of the elderly population in China has increased year by year,and it has become one of the countries with more aging population.Due to the generally low level of social endowment insurance in rural communities in China,the weakening of the family pension function,and the lack of community resources,rural communities are faced with greater challenges in supporting the elderly.The main manifestations are the low level of formal support for network protection and the severe degradation of the informal support network function.The more powerful a social support network a person possesses,the better he will be able to respond to various challenges from the environment.Therefore,promoting the construction of a social support network for the elderly in rural communities can improve the quality of their care and improve the old-age care for the elderly in rural communities.Through the previous survey of residents' needs and community resources,this study found that the elderly in the community have the problem of weak family pension function,inadequate community supporting services for the elderly,and insufficient community participation.Based on the results of the previous research,social workers under the guidance of social support theory,according to community needs and resources analysis of the elderly to develop in line with the needs of the elderly community,can improve the current predicament of the volunteer service group plan,the construction of community volunteer service teams,nurturing the elderly Volunteer service backbones assist team members in mobilizing the formal and informal resources they have mastered to provide on-the-spot visits,spiritual companionship,and psychological counseling services for elderly people in need in the community.In the group,promote group members to help each other and jointly explore and use community resources to build a volunteer service support network.In terms of assessment,this study adopts a combination of process and outcome assessment,and a combination of quantitative and qualitative assessments.Through the team's process assessment,the group's activities were timely followed up and mproved,leading to the achievement of group goals.With regard to the evaluation of the results of the group activities,this paper uses the questionnaire survey method in quantitative assessment and the interviews and observation methods in qualitative assessment to evaluate the effectiveness and self-assessment of social workers,and explores the application of group work in the construction of old-age volunteer service groups in rural communities.effect.Through research,it has been found that,under the guidance of social support theory,the work of the group has a certain effect in promoting old-age volunteer services in rural communities.The characteristics of "acquaintance communities" in rural communities are the basis for the development of volunteer service teams.Social support theory has directional guidance for the construction of teams.The fostering volunteer volunteers of old age can use formal and informal resources to develop volunteer services and promote community volunteerism.The establishment of the network and the informal support network for the elderly in the community.However,the volunteer service for the elderly in the rural community also has difficulties such as the lack of cognition of the elderly volunteer service and the limitation of the community resources,as well as the ethical dilemmas in the professionalism of the rural community volunteer service and the conflict between the human condition and the legal system.Through the evaluation and discussion of this study,the author proposes from the perspective of social work professional that improving rural community volunteer service development issues can improve residents' awareness of participation,expand residents' participation channels,speed up the construction of rural social work teams,and encourage community self-organization and organization.Development,strengthening community resource support and government policy support,etc.,and promoting the development of old-age volunteer services,community support networks,and mutual assistance for the elderly in rural communities.
