Research On The Needs Of Home Care Services For The Elderly In Rural Areas In Zhouzhi County

In recent years,with the deepening of the aging degree of the population and the acceleration of urbanization in Shaanxi Province,the pension problem of the rural elders,who accounts for nearly half of the elderly population in Shaanxi Province,has become more and more serious.In addition,the scale of rural families is shrinking day by day,the number of migrant workers is increasing rapidly,and the phenomenon of "hollowing" is widespread in rural areas,all of which have a great impact on the traditional family pension of the rural elders.Under this background,home-based care mode,the integration of community,community,social institutions such as the resources to make up for the lack of family pension mode,received strong support on the national and local policy.In response to the policy,home-based care services have also been developed in cities and rural areas of shaanxi province,but they are also faced with many difficulties in the implementation process.In this study,the D village in Zhouzhi County,Xian City,Shaanxi Province,was selected as the research site.The quantitative and qualitative research methods were comprehensively used,and the questionnaire method and the interview method were adopted.This paper analyzes the demand level and its influencing factors of the rural elders in Zhouzhi county,and analyzes the supply status of the home-based care services in Zhouzhi county.At the same time,it is also found that there is an imbalance in supply and demand,a single form and content,and a lack of long-term effectiveness in the development of home-based care services in Zhouzhi County at present.In combination with the theory of social capital and interviews with village cadres and elders in D village in Zhouzhi County,The reasons for the problems in rural home-based care services can be explained by the three elements of social capital theory: trust,network and norm,which is reflected in the loss of trust-oriented social capital and the lack of social interaction of the rural elders in Zhouzhi county.Imperfect social norms is also one of manifestations.From the perspective of social capital theory,This study puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures for the development of home-based care services in rural areas.
