Research On The Structured Process Of Social Workers' Involvement In Home Care Services In Rural Communities

Social Work Intervention in Home-based Old-age Care Services in Rural Communities Faces not only Important Opportunities but also Many Challenges,social work as "outsiders" involved in the service field will inevitably encounter the problem of "acclimatization".How do the young social workers who at the beginning of this career integrate into the village,overcome all difficulties and carry out their services smoothly? This is not only a thought-provoking practical exploration process,but also a very valuable experience accumulation process.This study chooses BT village as the research area,and takes the local practice of YM Rural Social Work Office in BT station as a case,and collects data through participatory observation and interview.According to the sequence of time development,the process of integrating social workers in BT station of YM rural social work office into the life world of villagers and smoothly carrying out the service for the elderly is tracked,and the strategies,ideas and practical experience of social workers in the whole process are summarized.The research finds that the whole process of social workers' intervention has gone through three stages: research admission,routine interaction integration and professional service development.In the first stage,social work is the main body of action.With the support of the village committee,the legitimate identity of villagers 't rust and service can be obtained through household investigation.In the second stage,social workers gradually integrate into villagers' daily life by organizing square dance activities and frequent contacts and interaction with villagers.At the same time,social workers try to tap village service resources,establish new service rules,and reshape the service structure of the elderly.In the third stage,on the basis of the service structure created in the earlier stage,social workers have been developing professional services to shape the lives of the elderly and constantly expand the service space for the elderly.At the same time,it also cultivates potential public space for villages,constantly creates new service rules,excavates new service resources,and realizes the structural change of new home-based pension services.Reflecting on the whole process of social workers' involvement in home-based pension services in rural communities,the author believes that the process of social workers' involvement in services is essentially a process of continuous structuring.Social work intervention in the structure of home-based pension services in rural communities is also the dualization between social workers as actors and village rules and resources as structures,which ultimately manifests itself in the reconstruction of social workers and the reconstruction of village elderly service structure.On the one hand,the intervention of social workers has changed the rules of service for the elderly in villages,activated some service resources,and become the basis for social workers to carry out professional services;on the other hand,the continuous development of professional services by social workers will inevitably lead to the restructuring of the service structure for the elderly in villages,bring about the re-change of rules and the continuous reuse of resources,so as to serve the next social workers.Lay the foundation.The whole process of social work service is like the positive and negative sides of a coin,complementing each other.
