Research On The Application Of Case Work In Stress Relief For Family Caregivers Of People With Intellectual Disabilities

The number of disabled people in China is large and the scale is large,and the problems and needs of the disabled are also becoming increasingly prominent.Due to the physical defects of the disabled themselves,the disabled are inconvenienced in their daily lives,and most of the time they need the care and help of others.Affected by traditional Chinese family values,family caregivers of disabled people play the most important role of care and undertake most of the care work.As a special kind of disabled caregiver,family caregivers of mentally handicapped people will face more physical,psychological,social and economic pressures during their care.How to help family caregivers of mentally handicapped people to relieve stress,Improving their quality of life has gradually become a concern of all sectors of society.Therefore,this paper attempts to intervene in a case of family caregivers of a mentally handicapped person in a case-by-case manner to alleviate the pressure on family caregivers of people with intellectual disabilities and improve their quality of life.This paper mainly uses the observation method,interview method and scale measurement method to collect the master data,and draws conclusions through the corresponding analysis and argumentation of the data.Specifically,the study first uses the professional methods and techniques of social work,combined with the environment in which the client is located,analyzes the source of stress from the physical,psychological,social and economic levels,and concludes that the case is in the mood.The needs of grooming,social support network construction,skills upgrading,and improvement of economic conditions,and the development of service goals and plans,and then under the guidance of social support theory,help the case to deal with bad emotions,restore family support and peer support Link relevant resources to help the client improve his skills,improve the economic situation,and ease the pressure on the client.Through the study of practical projects,the paper finds that the case work has a applicability to the stress relief of family caregivers of mentally handicapped people.Case intervention can help the client to relieve psychological pressure.However,while studying the effectiveness of the project,we should also reflect on the limitations of casework in the intervention.Because the reasons for the pressure of the case are various,in the mitigation of the pressure of the case,it is also necessary to comprehensively apply the methods of social work,link the resources of all parties,and gather the strengths of all parties to solve the problem together.In addition,family support and subjective initiative play an important role in alleviating the pressure of family caregivers of mentally retarded persons.
