Social Work Under Animal-assisted Therapy Is Involved In The Study Of Mental Comfort For The Elderly In Nursing Homes

In recent years,birth population "falling" at the same time,the number of elderly population is growing,aging has become the whole of China and the world of a common difficult problem,because of the lack of family or family to take care of the old man to the pension agency to take care of the phenomenon of increasingly,institution endowment has been developing rapidly in recent years.However,due to the lack of family companionship,old age,incapacity and other reasons,although many old people can guarantee their basic material life,they often suffer from emotional instability,listlessness and other mental problems in nursing institutions.The spiritual comfort of these old people needs the intervention of social workers.Finding good AIDS often results in more results with less effort.After careful investigation,the author decided to use animal-assisted therapy to serve as a catalyst for social workers.The author intends to use professionally trained dogs to accompany the elderly in the nursing home,and to carry out social work cases and group services for them,so as to better improve their mental condition in the company of animals.First of all,the author consulted and sorted out the relevant literatures of domestic and foreign scholars on animal assisted therapy and spiritual consolation for the elderly,and then studied and understood the relevant theories and defined the concepts.Then,taking the elderly group in the nursing home of Town L in County T as the service object,the method of questionnaire survey,interview and other methods were used to document the elderly in the nursing home in detail,and it was found that the elderly in the hospital had problems such as listless spirit and lack of interest in life.On this basis,combined with the physical state of the service object,demand and advantage resources,to develop a more detailed service plan.Then,animal assisted therapy was used to carry out case work and group work in the hospital for intervention services.Finally,through evaluation,summary and reflection,the expected results were achieved,which solved the problems related to spiritual consolation for the elderly in nursing homes and provided some references for the use of animal assisted therapy in social work services.The conclusions of the study are as follows: first,the positive effects of the intervention of social work service into the spiritual consolation of the elderly in the nursing home under the condition of animal assisted therapy;Second,social workers in nursing homes should first get the support of nursing staff,not only facing the service objects;Third,the application of animal assisted therapy in the process of social work services has certain effects,but it also varies from person to person.At present,this mechanism is not perfect,so it is urgent for social workers to further explore.
