America's Indo-Pacific Strategy is put forward under the complicated background,such as the transformation of the international system,the growing roles of the Indian and the Pacific,the change of American diplomatic concept and etc.With the slogan of creating a free and open Indo-Pacific region,it responds to the increasingly fierce regional competition from the aspects of security,economy,strength and influence,and maintains the America's leadership of the Indo-Pacific region.In political practice,Trump's administration attaches great importance to consolidating and developing the alliances and partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region through diplomacy,proactively builds the core platform-the Quad for the implementation of the strategy,spread American values and actively provoking the Taiwan issue and South China Sea issues closely related to China;In the economic field,the United States fully hedges the impact of “the Belt and Road Initiative”(BRI)and builds a US-Indo-Pacific economic system by guiding the private enterprises,building partnerships and investing in key areas.In the military and security fields,the United States increases its defense expenditure and enhances its military presence in the Indo-Pacific region.Besides,it also perfects its own military security network in the areas of maritime cooperation and military sales.The Indo-Pacific Strategy has gone through a process from ideal to action.Since the publication of the Indo-Pacific Strategy Report,the policy and practice of the American Indo-Pacific Strategy have been relatively clear.The main actors in the Indo-Pacific region respond to the Indo-Pacific Strategy of the United States in varying degrees as well.Their choices to adopt a partially-agreed attitude towards the Indo-Pacific Strategy are mostly on their own national positions.Different visions of the “Indo-Pacific Strategy” are actively planned to expand their own influence.It can be seen that the strategic idea of zero-sum game is no longer popular.Win-win cooperation is the accepted idea in the modern society where the interests of all parties are intertwined.In addition,the Indo-Pacific Strategy of the United States is also being tested due to the conflicts with the American priority concept,the dilemma of domestic debt and other issues.
