| In recent years,the strategic environment of the Indo-Pacific region has led to significant changes in the strategic interests in this region.India and Japan have constantly adjusted their national policies with their national strategies developing,and the strategic cooperative relationship between these two countries has exerted an important impact on the regional order.Since 2014,after Indian Prime Minister Modi came to power and continued the national strategies from “Look East" to “Act East",the"Modi Doctrine" has won the attention of the international community in the world.At the same time,inheriting from Japan’s traditional foreign policy "proactive pacifism”,Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe,flexibly and practically brought about the "Abe doctrine",which further expands Japan’s influence on Asia.The paper firstly analyzes the strategic cultural foundation of India-Japan relations.The different strategic cultures of these two countries have constantly profoundly influenced their national strategies,which are reflected in the essences of the“Indo-Pacific strategies”.The adjustment of their national policies decides ups and downs for India-Japan relations during different periods.In comparison with India-Japan relations from 1952 to 2013,that since 2014 can reflect the trend of sharing more interests in terms of the developmental visions for these two countries.Finally,the important influence on the main actors and solving regional security problems are discussed,considering the strengthening relationship between India and Japan.By analyzing the developmental trajectory of India-Japan relations and its influence,it is helpful to further clarify that the strengthening of India-Japan relations has become a fait accompli that cannot be ignored,which affects the regional order in the Indo-Pacific region.These two countries actively develops bilateral strategic cooperation to hedge against the impacts of the major powers in this region;both of them aim to construct a regional security complex with ASEAN member states;they both act as important forces to keep balance between regional powers and smaller countries,maintaining the regional security order.The reinforcement of such relations has become an important shaping force of the regional order in the Indo-Pacific region,and is also one of the main factors affecting China’s geo-strategic environment.This provides reference for China to adjust the development strategy of the Indo-Pacific region. |
