Since Kim jong UN came to power, the DPRK's nuclear capability and ballistic missile technology have been increasingly enhanced, which has caused panic among the neighboring countries. This has made the Korean nuclear issue appear to be enlarged, serious and complicated, and seriously hindered the economic development and cultural exchanges among countries in northeast Asia. Therefore, the resolution of the Korean nuclear issue is of great significance to the peaceful development of northeast Asia and even the world.North Korea's continuous improvement of nuclear capabilities and ballistic missile technology is not only an inherent requirement of "pre-military politics",but also an effective response to the gradually strengthened North Korean policy of the United States.International public opinion guided by the United States often regards the strengthening of North Korea's nuclear capabilities as the reason for the deepening of the contradictions on the North Korean nuclear issue, which has led the outside world to ignore North Korea's nuclear capabilities that have been largely upgraded in response to US pressure. This paper takes the US policy toward North Korea as an independent variable and the passive response of the Kim Jong Un government as a dependent variable to explore the evolution of the North Korean nuclear issue.Since North Korea has not yet announced specific US policies, this article will sort out the detailed official responses and military tests made by the Kim Jong-un government so far,and summarize the major changes in North Korea 's response to the United States at different stages. The conclusion is that the speech response of Kim Jong-un's government is super-hard,rational,and uncertain. The behavioral response is accessible, reversible, and speculative. At the same time, various factors affecting Kim Jong Un's response were explored. Finally, the author predicts the future trend of the Korean Peninsula under different US policies toward the DPRK.
