After the reform and opening-up,large-scale of rural labor was forced to flow from rural to urban.Muslims of Northwest in rural areas like many rural areas in China,labor showing a trend of large-scale output.Population mobility of Muslims of Northwest in rural areas will show what kind of development trend in the new period.Do these floating population can go back?Do they need go back,Do they want to go back?In order to discuss these questions,this thesis selects three Muslim villages in Qinghai which the massive labor export features is obvious as samples.The thesis discussed three questions.the first question is whether they can go back from the angle of social level to discuss.The second question is whether they need to go back from families demand.The third question is whether they want to go back from the aspects of personal psychological identity.This thesis included seven chapters.Chapter One is introduction.The chapter includes three parts.The first one introduces the origin and significance of this research.The second part includes retrospect and reviews about relevant literatures.The third one describes the research methods and research ideas.Chapter Two describes the survey overall situation of labor force mobility.The chapter is divided into three parts.The first one introdlces the basic aspects of investigations.The second part describes the history of labor mobility about the two district.The third one analyzes the basic situations of labor mobility in the sample,such as business,occupation and space distribution.Chapter Three discusses the question whether they can go back from the angle of social level.The chapter analyzes the agricultural economy in the three villages,and discuss the County economy,economic conditions of Qinghai province and education level.Through analysis this chapter discusses the impact of economic and social development on population mobility trends.Chapter four discusses the question whether they need to go back from the angle of families demand.Both of the fertility and marriage affect the families demand.Chapter five discusses the question whether they want to go back from the aspects of personal psychological identity.This chapter chiefly analyzes settlers willingness and religious cultural identity.Chapter Six discusses traditional business and agriculture,migration motives and the path of urbanization influence on population mobility.Chapter Seven summarizes the thesis.The chance for migrant to return is sm.all,especially the opportunity for them return to country or village.From the angle families demand,after 20 or 30 years most floating population have to go back.From the angle of individual psychological identity,most migrants have the strong desire to return.
