Young teachers occupy half of the ranks of university teachers at present,their teaching ability directly determines the quality of teaching in universities and the level of talent training.It is an urgent task to speed up the training of a group of young high-quality university teachers.The development of young teachers' teaching ability has certain rules,and it is a individualized process.The growth of every outstanding young teacher are the unity of general rules and special individuality.To study their rich and unique development path has an important reference value for other teachers.The thesis adopts classroom observation and case interview to explore the growth process of four outstanding young teachers from local undergraduate universities,hoping to obtain enlightenment that other young teachers can learn from.The thesis is divided into five parts: The introduction introduces the background,significance and methods of research,summarizes the literature about the connotation,structure,existing problems and solution strategies of university teachers' teaching abilities,and defines the core concepts.The second part analyzes the theoretical basis of the university teachers' teaching abilities,including Adult Learning Theory,Teachers' Professional Development Theory and Scholarship of Teaching.The third part is a case study.The thesis adopts classroom observation and case interview to explore the teaching ability's growth history of four outstanding young teachers.The fourth part is a holistic analysis,that is,summarizing commonness and individuality of the four teachers based on case studies.Their growth progress divided into three major stages and six concrete stages based on Teachers' Professional Development Theory,to grasp the growth process of their teaching ability.Meanwhile,combining the Adult Learning Theory and Scholarship of Teaching,the author analyzes the concrete teaching ability of each stage,to describe the teaching ability's structure horizontally.The fifth part is conclusion and inspiration.Through the case study and overall analysis,founding that the main factors affecting teachers' ability are individual factors,other factors and environmental factors.Thus the thesis has formed a three-dimensional development path of teaching ability,including individual development at the micro level,policy system at the middle level and create an environment that values education at the macro level.
