Since September 2016,the Chinese teaching material edited by Ministry of Education began to be widely used in junior high school across the country.Due to the short time of publication and use,research on the version edited by Ministry of Education department is still in its infancy.Even more,research on the characteristics of the compiling and the status of use of the writing system is almost blank.Thus,through analyzing the writing system in the Chinese teaching material edited by Ministry of Education and combining it with teaching practice,this paper makes an in-depth investigation of the advantages and disadvantages of the writing system,hoping to provide implications for the research and use of teaching materials.The writing system in the Chinese teaching material edited by Ministry of Education is based on the styles of writing and writing knowledge,the arrangement of the writing system emphasizes the combination of writing,reading,and comprehensive learning,which presents a pattern of three clues existing simultaneously,spiraling,interweaving,organically permeating as well as the characteristics of reading promoting and combining with writing.The determination of writing objectives reflects periodicity and definition.The presentation of writing knowledge is systematic.The writing instructions embody the principle of integrity and are quite operable.The contents of writing training are closely related to students’ life,and focuses on the cultivation of thinking ability.However,there are some defects in the writing system which are needed to be revised.The writing system in the Chinese teaching material edited by Ministry of Education ignores the training of practical style and lacks of instructions about the revision of compositions.Besides,there are inadequate writing samples.At the same time,in the process of teachers’ teaching practice,numerous problems arose in the use of the writing system in the Chinese teaching material edited by Ministry of Education,which leads us to think how to closely combine writing system with teaching practice so as to improve the quality of writing teaching.
