Abstract/Summary:
Children’s self-control ability is the basis for children to complete various tasks,coordinate relations with others,adapt to the society,and play an important role in the future development of children.The study shows thatchildren’s self-control ability growing rapidly in the big class stage,so intervention in this stage can effectively promote the development of children’s self-control ability.Picture books have a high educational value because they are close to the children’s life and fit the children’s emotions.In this study,60 children from two large classes were selected as subjects in a kindergarten in Tianjin.The subjects were divided into two classes:experimental class and the control class.Before the experiment,two classes were tested before the experiment,and the experimental class carried out picture book theme activities.Only put in picture books in theControl classes,let children read independently.The experiment was carried out twice a week for 8 weeks,and once for picture book analysis and an extension activity.After the completion of the experiment,a post-test was conducted,and a month later,a follow-up test was carried out.It is found that the self-control ability of the children in the experimental class is higher than that of the children in the control class in the post-test and post-test through the picture book theme activities,.and it is concluded that the picture book theme activities are helpful to improve the self-control ability of the children in the large class.Based on the results of the experiment,the following is recommended:1.Early childhood teachers should pay attention to the promoting effect of picture books on children’s self-control ability.2.Pay attention to the influence of picture books on children’s self-control ability in family,and promote the co-education of the home.3.Teachers should choose a variety of ways to carry out picture book theme activities4.To set up a library of picture books are in line with the level of children’s self-control development in China.
