At present,it has become a social consensus that home and school join together to promote student growth. The purpose of home-school interaction is very clear:take full advantage of the favorable factors of schools and families to jointly promote the healthy growth of students. There are many ways for interaction between home and school, such as home visits, correspondence, telephone calls, text messages, and etc.The efficiency of different ways is not the same.Compared with the traditional methods, the rapid development of new media has brought many new means and channels for the interaction between home and school, whose efficiency is much higher than the traditional method. The new home-school interaction patterns represented by new media tools such as Home Automation,WeChat and QQ are taking shape.Depending on the development of new media technologies, the ways, channels and contents of the interaction between home-school and school are also undergoing changes. These changes are of great significance to current schools Educational management, which pose not only an opportunity but also a challenge. With the development of the society, the parents of the current students are generally better-educated,and mostly use social software such as WeChat and QQ,and they are no longer confined to traditional methods such as home visit and telephone when communicating with school teachers.New media began to infiltrate every aspect of the interaction between home and school. Some phenomena and problems exposed in this process are worth exploring and studying. The purpose of this paper is to conduct an in-depth study on this phenomenon through field investigation, analyze the factors that affect the interaction between home and school and put forward corresponding countermeasures. After expatiating the background and significance of the thesis and defining the concept of the interaction between new media and home-school,this paper summarizes the research status at home and abroad and puts forward research methods and research ideas. Then, after explaining the connotation and characteristics of the interaction between home and school,The survey questionnaire for teachers and parents were designed respectively and the survey was carried out in Nanjing T Middle School. After a summary of the survey results, the new media helps achieve the acceptance of home-school interaction to a higher degree and the interaction between home and school varies in form and content Meanwhile, the willingness of parents to participate is on the rise. However, the results also show that there is still some problems, such as communication barrier between the current home-school interaction, the transfer of responsibility from teachers to parents, the inequality of home-school status, and Lack of pertinence, comprehensiveness and planning.Analysis of the survey data found that the reasons for the above problems lies in the difference of the acceptance of the new media, the varied quality, interaction and tools selection, and lack of system, etc. Then,in view of the above problems in home-school interaction, this paper points out the measures that schools can take in education management:to carry out continuing education,to promote understanding of home-school,to focus on students' growth,to promote the change of concept and behavior,to give full play to the characteristics of new media tools and to perfect the system construction.Lastly,it points out that no matter how the tools or channels of interaction between home and school change, the initial education cannot be changed, and can never be ignored. The purpose of ensuring that the interaction between home and school, which is to form a concerted effort to promote the healthy growth of students can never be changed.
