Reading is one of the basic skills of human being.Fluency is one of the important indicators of reading skills.Children with dyslexia not only have difficulty in word decoding, but also have problems reading fluently, which makes it hard for them to infer the meaning of the article by concatenating the sentences together. And it may leads to reading frustration. However, recent studies tend to study the accuracy of word-coding in children with reading disabilities, and neglected the important role of reading fluency in reading comprehension.EVS(eye-voice span)refers to the temporal or spatial distance between the reader's current eye gaze point and the current sounding point during an oral reading. The use of EVS measurements can further reveal the fluency characteristics and problems of children with dyslexia in the reading process.Based on this, this study systematically examimes the defects and causes of reading fluency in chinese dyslexia by EVS.children.The research mainly includes the following contents:Study 1:An adapted reading fluency test with different levels of difficulty was used to measure the accuracy, speed, and rhythm components of reading fluency of the two groups of children.Variance analysis were performed on scores of the sub-component of reading fluency among experimental and control group of different article(difficult and simple),to investigate the reading fluency defects of Chinese dyslexic children.Study 2:The t-test was used to analyze the spatial EVS,the related eye-movement indexes(total fixation time, average fixation time, number of fixation points and back-view count),relevant sound indicators(total correct pronunciation time, average correct pronunciation time, total oral reading time, total pause time)of discrepancy from two group. On this basis, the correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between EVS,eye movements and sound indicators,to explore the behavioral characteristics of children with dyslexia who are obstructed from reading fluency in dynamic reading process.Study 3:Using morpheme awareness, orthographic awareness, rapid naming, and Chinese character recognition as predictors, the contribution of the above variables to the three subcomponents of fluency in reading was examined, and the cognitive factors that influenced Chinese children's reading fluency were analyzed.Through the above study, the following conclusions are drawn:1.Chinese children with dyslexia have defects in reading fluency, which is shown by poor reading accuracy, slow reading speed,a lack of reading rhythm, and poor emotional expression.2.Chinese children with dyslexia display the inefficiencies of text meaning unit division and concomitant delayed pronunciation from visual and phonetic features.3.Morphological awareness,Chinese character recognition, and rapid automatized naming respectively contribute to reading fluency through different sub-components.Among them, the most stable predictor variable is rapid automatized naming.Poor accuracy of word recognition, the pathway defects of recognition and naming continuous stimulation may negatively influence children's reading fluency.
