A Case Study Of Social Work Nurturing Mutual Aid Organizations In Pastoral Areas

Since1980.after the livestock in pastoral areas contract with the implementation of the policy.The traditional way still play an important role between mutual cooperation and herdsmen,After1990,The herdsmen traditional production and life has changed a lot.They built houses and settled in the pasture ranch,and the grazing area narrowed.It affected the traditional herdsmen's life style and changed to be more concern about market-oriented production enthusiasm.The increasing of the livestock exceeded the carrying capacity of pasture.It destroys the environment and decline.The production capacity,the income of herdsmen is also can't live along.During the process of adapting to social transformation,herdsmen realized that family based production is difficult to meet the market's demand for large-scale production.And it needs to achieve common prosperity by traditional customs of mutual aid and cooperation,The social worker with herdsmen to adapt to social change to explore their traditional“family group”and“village group”and other forms of community mutual endogenous forces.This form of play to enhance the moral consciousness of improve members in the traditional nomadic life,and help Tibetan to make a good virtue to others.Improve the quality of life of the Tibetan population in pastoral areas,optimize social resources,enhance the community of cohesion.Social workers inject professional knowledge and skill in their traditions so that they can play a role in the economic life and daily life of the herdsmen.As a social worker,I perspective of the social work profession,based on other information and use of the observation methods.We took a small study in Benevolence Social Organization as a model.The use of the strengths perspective analysis of necessity and feasibility of cultivating social workers living in the Z village,A detailed description of the professional knowledge and the organic combination of tradition culture of the community practice.and carry out social work services to participants as well as the significance of the community in the pastoral community.To prove the shortage of the social work in promoting community construction in pastoral areas,and to reflect on the social work experience and deficiencies of the pastoral areas under the advantage of social work,we strive to further improve the knowledge and skills of social work service in pastoral areas,respond to needs of the herdsmen,and hope to enrich the social work practice in native pastoral areas.
