With the further development of China's basic education reform,it objectively puts forward higher requirements for the principal's ability structure,knowledge level and core accomplishment.This paper is based on the competency theory,explore the effectiveness and scientific nature of high school principal training,expand its original theoretical basis,make up for the lack of existing high school principal training system research,enrich the principal school management theory.In the process of research,we should explore the successful experience of outstanding principals,promote the cultivation of " experts and scholars" principals,improve the quality of basic education in China,and do a good job in the education of people's satisfaction.Through a behavioral event interview,(BEI)detailed records of the principal interviewed for their past professional activities in the specific events of the detailed description,mining behavior of the parties to the competency characteristics,especially hidden in the heart deep but not revealed personal potential characteristics,success factors,the establishment of high school principal competency model.To provide more high school principals with " role models" for self-development,but also to provide effective practical curriculum resources for the training of high school principals.At the same time for the promotion of high school principals,training and evaluation of outstanding principals to provide an objective reference,to promote the steady,healthy and sustainable development of basic education in China,and strive to explore the high school principals with Chinese characteristics of socialism training system.This paper investigates the training of principals in seven complete middle schools in Li Wan District of Guangzhou City,analyzes the survey data effectively,and discusses the establishment of a competency-based training system for principals.Part One,it probes into the research background and the definition of the relevant core concepts of the competency-based senior high school principal training research,and summarizes the relevant research on the principal training in China,and analyzes the development situation of the principal training at home and abroad.Part Two,it analyzes the present situation,main problems and causes of the trainingsystem of senior high school principals in China.On this basis,the author analyzes the advantages of competency theory in solving the problems existing in the training of senior high school principals in China.Part Three,through the empirical study of high school principals' competence,the competency model of high school principals is established,and the training system of high school principals based on competency is constructed.Part Four,a complete training program for principals of seven complete senior high schools in Li Wan district of Guangzhou is designed to test the feasibility and timeliness of competency model and training system.Finally,the limitations and shortcomings of this study are explained,and the research prospect of this topic is put forward.
