The thesis consists of five parts.The first part,starting with the social reality and the physical and psychological development of elementary school students,explores the existing deficiencies underlying in the current researches about the development of education for life in elementary school students both at home and abroad: the results of these researches are largely the products of speculation,the methods of the authors' researches are far less diversified,and in practice the primary school curriculum is less integrated with education for life.The second part mainly interprets the concept of the compound word of “the primary Chinese life education” from the nature of the subject,the new curriculum standard and the speech of the authoritative scholars,setting a theoretical foundation for the education for life in the elementary school students' Chinese lesson.The third part is the analysis of the status quo of education for life in Foshan's elementary school students' Chinese lesson.The students' questionnaire demonstrates that the students lack life knowledge,life emotion and life practice,while the teacher questionnaire reflects the lack of understanding education for life and the insufficiency of recognition of education for life in elementary Chinese lesson,the singular form in developing the education for life in the elementary Chinese lesson and the less satisfactory effects of developing the education for life in the elementary Chinese lesson and so on.The fourth part,focused on the teaching material used in Foshan,namely,from PEP edition to the Ministry edition,excavates the resources of life for education from the aspects of life knowledge,life emotion and the practice of life behavior.The fifth part is targeted on the strategies for the problems in the investigation.Firstly,the strategy of self-study before class and the drawing of thinking map can be introduced in teaching of life knowledge;secondly,situational teaching and text reading strategy should be applied in the teaching of life and emotion;finally,the strategy of carrying out extracurricular activities and guiding students to share information can be adopted in the training of life practice ability.
