In the past years of updating the curriculum standards,we have been advocating the renewal of education concepts,the reform of examination evaluation systems,and the improvement of the quality of basic education in China.The trinity of teaching,learning,and evaluation was established,and evaluation became an integral part of the process of teaching and learning.From this we can see that the reform in evaluation is an inevitable trend in the new curriculum reform.Compared with traditional paper-pencil tests,performance assessments originating from the United States can reflect students' core literacy and fill the gaps in traditional evaluations.The performance assessment attempts to construct a real or simulated life situation to observe the students' ability to handle problems.It pays more attention to the students'attitudes and values,and also advocates pluralism in the evaluation methods.The performance assessment not only includes the current level of knowledge of the students,but also measures what students can do.It not only measures the results of student performance,but also measures the performance of students.In this regard,traditional paper-pencil tests are difficult to compare with performance assessment.This series of characteristics of performance assessment coincides with the current ideological and political course of the "activity-based currculum".It has important practical significance for cultivating students' political identity,scientific spirit,awareness of the rule of law,and public participation.However,the implementation of performance evaluation in the ideological and political class is not smooth,and it encounters some problems and difficulties,mainly including the direction of the evaluation index,the weight of the evaluation,the subjectivity of the evaluation,and the ideological and moral evaluation.Based on the nature of the ideological and political course and the new version of the ideological and political curriculum standard,this article starts from cultivating the discipline core quality and evaluation concept.It attempts to define the connotation of the performance assessment by discussing the series of the theories of performance assessment from the perspective of theory and practice,characteristics,and mining its unique features;and through specific practical surveys to observe the status of implementation of the performance assessment in the ideological and political class,and to explore the current teachers and students on the evaluation of views and perspectives.Through specific situation analysis,we will explore the concept of expressive evaluation with the characteristics of ideological and political disciplines and the practical operation path.At the same time,this article is also guided by the idea of "system optimization"and puts forward suggestions for the further promotion of performance assessment.There are no specific evaluation criteria and modes for performance assessment,which need to be adjusted according to the actual situation of students and teachers.It is hoped that through the study of this article,we can provide reference for the application of performance assessment in the future ideological and political classes.
