With the continuous development of China's comprehensive national strength,higher education has shown the trend of “popularizing”.Under the state of universal popularization of higher education,the number of university graduates surged.With the sudden increasing pressure in employment and the worsening employment environment,the employment of university graduates has become one of the issues of concern in the contemporary society.In the past decade,many students chose the art major that was relatively easy to get an offer in order to reduce the pressure of the college entrance examination.According to statistics,Broadcasting and Hosting Major has covered more than 600 colleges and universities in more than 30 provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities in China,and the number of graduates exceeds 10,000 each year.On the contrary,radio and television station's counterpart positions are going to reach saturation status.Therefore,the employment situation is severe.Through the analysis of marketing and promotion strategies,this thesis tries to solve the employment issues of Broadcasting and Hosting Major graduates in Z University.For such purpose,this thesis begins by with observations over the status quo of the post-graduation employment of the Z University,whereupon certain points on modification are discussed.These processes are carried out through a thorough review of the macro environment of Z University and its various faculties,combined with a SWOT analysis particularly over the school of Broadcasting and Host.Next,the author tries to explore a marketing strategy plan for the Broadcasting and Hosting Major – graduates of Z University.This initiates with an analytical summary of interviews and surveys with personnel both from potential corporate employers and students at stake,accompanied with the adoption of STP analysis method to integrate the potential opportunities in the employment environment with the existing resources of the Z University.Finally,this thesis will put forward the safeguard measures for the implementation of promotion strategies in Z University.
