With the development of economic globalization,society not only increases the demand for talents,but also puts forward new requirements for talent cultivation.Universities need to adjust and optimize the talent training model that adapts to economic development according to the new needs of modern social development.This study studies and analyzes the talent training model and its main components of young universities.First,clarify the concept of young universities and talent training models.The connotation of young universities is defined from three aspects: time dimension,knowledge production dimension and management system dimension.From the perspective of lexical meaning,combined with the context of higher education,the literature is comprehensively analyzed to derive the meaning of the talent training model.Secondly,starting from the analysis of the main components of the talent training model,combing the literature,and extracting the five elements of the university talent training model: training objectives,management system,professional settings,curriculum system and quality evaluation,Among them,the training objectives are to coordinate the whole talent training mode.The management system,professional setting and curriculum system are important components,and quality evaluation is its control link.Combined with the specific practices of the universities in practice,the young universities are compared with traditional universities,highlighting the characteristics of young universities in terms of goals,management,majors,courses,evaluations,etc.;It is concluded that the difference between young universities and traditional universities in the talent training mode is the relationship between personality and commonality,which has both similarities and certain differences.Finally,combined with the typical representative of the young universities--Hong Kong University of Science and Technology,as a practical case,a detailed analysis:In terms of training objectives,we pursue excellence and excellence;in the management system,we promote humanized management and provide a high-quality environment;in terms of professional settings,we are “small and precise” and create high-tech;in terms of curriculum,we break professional boundaries and build Multi-curricular courses;in terms of quality evaluation,paying attention to multiple values,emphasizing the diversified development of evaluation subjects and evaluation methods.Young universities have achieved amazing achievements in a short period of time and have made outstanding contributions to the economic development of the country and the region.Studying the talent training model of young universities can provide valuable practical experience for the reform of talent training mode in Chinese universities.On the basis of drawing lessons from the experience of cultivating outstanding talents in young universities,we respect and follow certain rules,put forward practical and feasible reference opinions,optimize and improve the current talent training mode of universities in combination with China's national conditions,and improve the quality of personnel training.
