With the deepening of the guiding ideology of "helping the poor first,curing poverty first,curing folly",China's educational poverty alleviation work has achieved remarkable results.In recent years,physical education as an important part of school education and the basis of improving the quality of school education,has gradually been attached importance to poverty alleviation.Poverty alleviation through physical education has not only become a practical problem of poverty alleviation through education,but also a hot issue in academic research.Although some of the deep poverty-stricken areas in Sichuan Province have taken off the "cap" of the deep poverty-stricken under the efforts of economic poverty alleviation,in the process of the transfer of "poverty status" and the weakening of "exogenous" support in the deep poverty-stricken areas,there have some sustainable development crises,and survival crises,which make the deep poverty-stricken areas lack of "internal" development capabilities.Source power and talent reserve mechanism for sustainable development.In order to explore the problems existing in physical education teaching in deep poverty-stricken areas and promote the development of physical education and the improvement of students' physical fitness,present study used the methods of literature,questionnaire,in-depth interview,field investigation and logical analysis to study physical education teaching in middle schools in Leibo County,Sichuan Province.Six junior middle schools in Leibo County were conducted.Field research,in-depth interviews and questionnaires were conducted among school leaders,physical education teachers and students.Combining with the relevant theories of education an,this paper combs the current situation of physical education in secondary schools in Leibo County from the aspects of sports facilities and equipment,teaching faculty,teaching system and teaching implementation,with a view to exploring the shortcomings of physical education in middle schools in deep poverty-stricken areas,and probing into its development path in view of the problems,so as to promote the development of physical education in deep poverty-stricken areas.The result of the study shows that Leibo County middle school physical education teaching mainly exists in the inadequate sports facilities and equipment,unreasonable physical education teaching staff,physical education teaching system imperfect and other practical problems.Based on Leibo County's special practical status of integrating ethnic areas and deep poverty-stricken areas,present study puts forward some development measures and countermeasures,such as "precise poverty alleviation" to improve the physical education teaching system,carrying out physical education teaching activities according to local conditions,enriching the teaching staff by training of teachers,and breaking through the bottleneck of physical education.
