Core strength training was first used in fitness and rehabilitation training as a strength training method.In the 1990 s,some domestic coaches began to realize the importance of trunk muscles and deep muscles to improve sports performance.With the development of mass physical education and school physical education,school physical education teaching is not satisfied with the traditional strength training teaching methods.The setting and teaching objectives of physical education courses in Colleges and universities are mainly to teach college students physical skills and improve their physical quality,cultivate their interest in physical exercise,and make them develop the habit of lifelong physical exercise.At present,physical training in Colleges and universities is dull,and students' enthusiasm and participation are not high.Therefore,little physical quality training is carried out during the physical education class.Teachers are more likely to teach basic introductory sports skills.If new core strength training is added on the basis of traditional physical quality training,students' physical quality can be improved as well as their enthusiasm,so that they can master the course skills more effectively and improve the quality of teaching.In addition,in the absence of good physical fitness,the teaching of related sports projects is easy to hamper students' enthusiasm for learning,and even prone to sports injury.Therefore,this paper mainly through the introduction of core strength training,in enriching physical education at the same time,can improve the physical quality of College students,better carry out the teaching of sports.Before the experiment,the whole experimental subjects were tested.After no significant difference in physical fitness was detected,the subjects were randomly divided into two groups(the male-female ratio was basically the same,the difference in physical fitness was not obvious),which basically met the requirements of the homogeneity of the experiment.Then,the selection of the experimental items was determined,and the preliminary test of the experimental subjects was carried out before the experiment.By comparing the test data of the two groups of students before and after the five experiments of 50-meter running,standing triple jump,three-meter moving contact,50*8-meter turn-back running and sitting body forward bending,the changes of students' physical qualities before and after the training are analyzed and the conclusion is drawn.After a 10-week teaching and training experiment,the physical fitness indexes of the two groups of students,such as strength,agility and flexibility,have been greatly improved compared with thosebefore the training,but the results of endurance and speed quality have been improved before and after the experiment,but the improvement is not obvious.Therefore,in the university physical education,we should not only take the essence of traditional strength training,but also properly join the training of core strength,which is more conducive to the improvement of students' physical quality and the promotion of the quality of physical education teaching.
