Integrity is not only the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation,but also an important cornerstone for the sound development of modern society.Integrity education is an important way to lead social members to be integrity,self-disciplined and improve their moral quality.Integrity education is an important part of the construction of socialist core values.As the builders and successors of the socialist cause,college students should actively practice core socialist values,conscientiously be integrity and trustworthy,and lead the society in good faith ethics.However,disintegrity occurs from time to time in the current college students’ study life.Therefore,further strengthening and improving the current integrity education of college students is not only related to the formation of college students’ personal integrity quality,but also related to the construction of socialist society of integrity.Firstly,the paper studies the theoretical and practical basis of integrity education for college students.The paper clarifies the connotation of the concept of integrity education and seeks the theoretical basis of integrity education for college students.Combined with the reflection on the current phenomenon of college students’ loss of faith and morality,the paper emphasizes the practical necessity of the optimization of college students’ integrity education.Secondly,examining and reflecting on the situation of college students’ integrity and the problem of college students’ integrity education is the essential link of integrity education for college students.The paper takes Y university as an example for empirical research.In the analysis of a large number of questionnaires,the paper found that the content of integrity education for college students is lack of practicality and collective orientation.And the method of integrity education for college students is not innovative and specific enough.Also there is a lack of educator leadership in the integrity education for college students.Even integrity education and supervision mechanism is not sound.All these problems are the result of social,school.family and college students’ factors.The imperfection of the socialist market economic system and the homogeneity of Chinese society formed the bad ethos that an individual to seek gain and break one’s word.The profit-seeking nature of social production makes colleges and universities appear the tendency of speculative education.Parents lack the necessary family judgment standards for integrity education with a perfunctory mentality.College students are short of self-education consciousness.They can’t correctly look at the contradiction between integrity reality and integrity value,then lacking necessary action.Therefore,to optimize integrity education for college students,we should inherit and innovate the thought of integrity education in Chinese traditional culture,and learn from the excellent achievements of integrity education in western culture under the guidance of marxism.We should adopt the form of social practice education,individualizing psychological heuristic education methods and modern mass education media.We should establish the intergenerational interactive communication mechanism of equal understanding between educators and college students.Colleges and universities,society and families should work together to build an all-around team of integrity educators with good quality.By establishing and perfecting the credit archives evaluation system,credit rewards and punishment system,social credit information disclosure system and social credit legal restraint system,we should realize the system guarantee of integrity education for college students.The paper studies and discusses the above contents in order to provide some references for strengthening and improving the current integrity education of college students.
