In 2001,documents issued by China's Ministry of Education and the Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee proposed to strengthen the education on professional consciousness,professional ideals,professional ethics,and entrepreneurship,which aims to guide students to form right values for occupational choices,to cultivate positive behaviors that conform with professional ethics and to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial skills.Entrepreneurship education has been established as an essential content of moral education in secondary vocational schools.In recent years,in the face of the increasingly intense competition in the labor market and severe employment situation,many students of vocational schools cannot secure a job after graduation.Therefore,it is necessary for vocational schools to transform their traditional ideas of employment and to strengthen the education of entrepreneurship.Entrepreneurship education provides an entry point to accelerate educational reform in vocational schools.Implementing entrepreneurship education is an effective way to achieve the integration of production,education,and research,to realize the transformation of talent cultivation from employment-focused to the employment-entrepreneurship pattern,and to reinforce the connotation construction of vocational schools.As a matter of fact,entrepreneurship education can not only help with the employment of some students,but also motivate more students to make positive efforts to meet the needs of society and to properly combine personal development with social services,which contributes to relieving employment pressure and creating more jobs for Chinese societyThis paper is mainly conducted through research methods of literature review,organizes relevant research,and understand the research status of entrepreneurship education in China and other countries.This paper focuses on the cognition,implementation,institutional insurance,and evaluation of entrepreneurship education,and designs questionnaires for students and interviews with teachers to conduct research.This paper analyzes the results of the surveys and points out several problems including obsolete ideas on entrepreneurship education,incomplete curriculum system construction,the overall quality of teachers and students,the hindrance of traditional educational pattern to teaching evaluation,which are mainly caused by laggard regulations on entrepreneurship education,inadequate social support for entrepreneurship education in vocational schools,schools' lack of resources and abilities in course offering and management,and students and their families' lack of enterprising motives.Based on existing problems and causes,the last part of the paper presents countermeasures to improve entrepreneurship education in vocational schools,such as change the concept of entrepreneurship education,clarify the goal of entrepreneurship education,improve the curriculum system of entrepreneurship,strengthen the construction of teachers,construct a pluralistic evaluation system,reflect on the construction of teaching methods,increase the propaganda of entrepreneurship education,improve students'awareness of entrepreneurship,strengthen the use of external environment and enrich entrepreneurship education resources.
