Science and technology are the primary productive forces,and the development of science and technology plays an important role in the development of the national economy.Therefore,science education should be strengthened in education.Textbooks are an important carrier for teachers to carry out scientific education for students.They are an important source for teachers to guide students to learn scientific knowledge and explore the scientific world.Therefore,the study of science textbooks is of great significance to the promotion of science education and even the overall national scientific literacy.This paper mainly compares the textbooks of Chinese textbooks with the English textbooks of Oxford in the three aspects of the structure,content and presentation of textbooks.By comparison found:In terms of the overall structure,the two editions of textbooks use chapters as the main unit,and consider the connection between knowledge in the design of content,but there are also differences between the two editions of textbooks,mainly in the applicable grade range,the number of unit chapters,the arrangement method,and the theme.Knowledge distribution and other aspects.The textbooks for textbooks apply to grades 3-6,while the textbooks for Oxford apply to grades 1-5.In terms of the number of units,the textbook far exceeds the number of units in the Oxford version.The textbook layout is linear,and the specific class time content has no fixed arrangement structure,while the Oxford version has a relatively fixed structure,which belongs to the spiral arrangement.In the textbook content,the author statistics on the subject knowledge of the two editions of textbooks.The subject knowledge contained in the two editions of textbooks is roughly the same,but each has its own focus.The textbooks in the textbook focus on the knowledge of the material world,and the proportion is large.The Oxford edition focuses on the knowledge of the life world.The two editions of textbooks are similar in proportion to the Earth and the universe.Therefore,the author takes the textbooks of grades 3-5 as the research object,selects the earth and the universe to compare the specific knowledge content,and finds that the textbook is in depth and difficulty.Both are greater than the difficulty of Oxford textbooks.At the same time,the author also compared the scientific inquiry experiments on the subject,and found that the number of scientific inquiry experiments in the textbook far exceeds the number of Oxford editions,and the experimental design is more attractive with contextual dialogue.In the way of textbook presentation,the author mainly studies the presentation of textbooks from three aspects:language,illustration and column.In terms of language,the two editions of textbooks are mostly described in the first narrative perspective,but the textbooks in the textbooks are more flexible in sentence patterns and use multiple sentences to guide students to think and explore.The Oxford version is dominated by declarative sentences,lacking inspirational and guiding questions.At the same time,the language version of the textbook textbook is more concise,the article does not appear in a large section,while the Oxford textbooks focus on the statement of theoretical knowledge,the article often presents long paragraphs.In terms of illustrations,both editions of textbooks use color illustrations and set up various types of illustrations,and these illustrations are closely related to the content of the article.The difference is that the number of illustrations in the textbook is more than that in the Oxford version.The textbooks are mainly physical illustrations,and the Oxford editions are mainly hand-drawn illustrations,but the quality of the Oxford editions is higher than the textbooks.In terms of column settings,the textbook has no fixed columns,only the database is available in every unit.The Oxford version of the textbook has a fixed column,from the pre-class goals,the discussion in the class,to the post-class consolidation review has a fixed column.The two editions of textbooks have some differences in the concept of setting up the columns.The textbooks are more focused on the guiding role of the columns,guiding students to observe,think and discover,aiming at the process of inquiry;while the Oxford textbooks focus on introduction,feedback and evaluation.Helping students master scientific knowledge.
