Research On The Phenomenon Of Pupils' Academic Procrastination

This study focuses on primary school students' academic procrastination and puts forward positive coping strategies.In this study,pupils' academic procrastination is defined as an irrational behavior in which pupils delay or fail to complete their academic tasks under nine-year compulsory education.Learning tasks include a variety of assignments,planning,remediation and summary of learning activities and so on.First of all,through the research method of non-participatory observation and interview,the author's practice school is investigated to understand,sort out and analyze the present situation of primary school students' academic procrastination.The object of non-participatory observation is mainly the first-to-sixth-grade students of the author's internship school.In this study,the author chooses non-standardized interviews to interview students,teachers and parents to understand the specific performance and possible influencing factors of primary school students' academic procrastination.In addition,a case study was used to describe and analyze individual students with academic procrastination.Based on the data collected by the author in the course of practice,this paper analyzes and sums up the main manifestations of the phenomenon of academic procrastination in primary school students at present,and classifies and summarizes the influencing factors,and after consulting the data,Combined with the actual situation to solve the problem of school procrastination in primary school students put forward a strong operational coping strategies.This research mainly from the student individual factor and the external environment factor two aspects carries on the summary,sums up,the research finds that the primary school student academic procrastination phenomenon the reason is complex but relatively concentrated,the student individual factor is mainly the physical and mental development limitation,The development of fear of difficulty and self-consciousness is not sufficient,while the external environmental factors mainly include the unreasonable academic task,the lag of task feedback,the mutualinfluence of peers,the lack of classroom environment and family education,and so on.In view of the causes of the school procrastination of the primary school students,the paper puts forward seven suggestions from the development of the students' ability and the environment of the home-school environment: to improve the student's resistance to stress,to break down the target,to step by step,to make rational planning,to establish the self-confidence,to optimize the mechanism of the academic task,to play the role of peer education,Pay attention to family education and stop the urge,insist on the praise.In the course of the suggestion,the author has specially observed and interviewed experienced first-line teachers,these teachers have a high level of young teachers and experienced special-level old teachers,and it is suggested to have extremely strong operational and implementability.More has been made in the practice of education and teaching.The effective method of operation can be used for environment: adjusting their emotion,breaking down the target step by step,making rational planning,establishing the self-confidence,optimizing the mechanism of the academic task,playing the role of peer education,paying attention to family education and giving moderate praise.In the course of the suggestion,the author has specially observed and interviewed experienced teachers who have been teaching in the first line.These teachers include young teachers who have got a high level of diploma and special-leveled teachers who have been teaching for over twenty years.Those suggestions are extremely operational and enforceable.More has been made in the practice of education and teaching.The effective method of operation can be used for reference by educators and students' parents.
