With the deepening of the new curriculum reform and the continuous development of quality education,high school geography teaching is based on the characteristics of the subject,actively committed to cultivating students' ability of observation and analysis,logical reasoning and spatial thinking,and solidly and effectively help students improve their geographical learning skills and master effective methods,thus continuously promoting the cognitive development of high school students.With the increasing proportion of elective geography in college entrance examination in our province,the status of geography subject has been gradually improved,which puts forward certain requirements for senior high school geography classroom,geography teachers' professional quality and students' geographical quality.In 2017,the Ministry of Education recently formulated the geography curriculum standards for senior high schools,especially emphasizing that the teaching of senior high school geography should pay attention to information technology.As a product of modern information technology,compound contour map is one of the forms of deep integration of information technology and high school geography teaching.High school geography isoline teaching,especially compound isoline map teaching,is not only the focus of geography teaching,but also the difficulty.In recent years,in the college entrance examination questions,the compound contour map as the material frequently appears,but the scoring rate of this part of the questions is not high.Generally speaking,this is related to students' inadequate information acquisition and processing ability.Information processing theory belongs to the category of cognitive psychology theory,which regards the organic brain as a computer-like information processing system at the behavioral level,and thinks that the cognitive process of human beings is the process of information processing.Students' knowledge of compound contour map also conforms to the information processing model of the theory.Therefore,the research on the construction of compound contour map interpretation method based on information processing theory has a positive role in promoting students' cognitive development,and is conducive to improving students' ability to read and use maps,and promoting the development of quality education.At present,there are some deficiencies in domestic and foreign research in this area.In order to better carry out the research,the author carried out the research through literature analysis,classroom observation,experimental methods and other methods.Based on the results of questionnaires and interviews,and combined with the comprehensive situation of daily teaching,students' homework and examinations,the author analyzed the reasons for the inadequate reading ability of compound contour maps of senior high school students.At the same time,according to the theoretical basis of information processing and the current psychological and cognitive characteristics of high school students,combined with Gagne's information processing model,Meyer's multimedia learning cognitive model and Atkinson-Schifflin's memory information processing model,the author constructs a compound isogram information processing model.Information processing is the process of processing compound contour map information.It is the key to explore how the information processing process in students' minds applies information processing theory.In my opinion,we should do a good job of "attention,selection,organization,transformation,migration" and other links in order to obtain useful information to solve the problem.After a thorough summary,the author designs five specific interpretation steps of the composite contour map,and demonstrates the interpretation through case design.In order to verify the research results,the author also carried out an experimental study.The results show that the effective application of information processing theory has improved students' enthusiasm,observation and analysis ability,logical reasoning ability and spatial thinking ability,thus effectively improving students' cognitive level and learning effectiveness.This is also the innovation and achievement of this study.
