China launched a new round of curriculum reform in 2014.All junior high schools began to use textbooks compiled by the ministry in the fall of 2017.On the occasion of the launch of a new round of curriculum reform,it is a great practical significance to study the experience of foreign education advanced countries.Textbook is one of the most important teaching resources,is the most representative core teaching material,is an important and basic teaching material in school teaching.Textbook is playing an important role in the whole school education.In this paper,the third history textbook published by the well-known education press Oxford University,which is widely used in Britain,is selected as the research object,and its structure and content are analyzed and studied in the hope of providing some references for China's current curriculum reform and the rapid development of education.This paper is mainly divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly explains the research background and significance,research review,research objects and methods,as well as the innovation of this paper.The second part introduces the development process of the national curriculum standards of British history,the distribution and use of British history textbooks,and the basic situation of the British history textbooks studied in this paper,laying a foundation for the analysis of the content and structure of the following text.The third part,macroscopically studies the structure of the whole book,microscopically studies the column setting of the text,and analyzes the structure of this textbook from these two perspectives.The fourth part focuses on the analysis of the book on the slave trade,British colonization in India,napoleon three historical events and important figures.The fifth part,mainly according to the third and fourth parts of the study of the Oxford version of the British history textbook features,summarize the full text,for the compilation of history textbooks in China to provide some reference.
