With the ever-changing world pattern and increasingly fierce international competition,countries around the world have carried out educational reforms.Nowadays,China's basic education reform is also changing from the "knowledge standard" to the "literacy standard" era.As the carrier of educational content,textbooks play an important role in education reform.Through the comparative research method,the literature research method and the content analysis method,this paper takes the chemistry part of the comprehensive science "Scientific Explorer" and the ninth grade "Chemistry" textbook published by the People's Education Publishing House as the research object,respectively,from "knowledge",The three layers of "experiment" and "thought" are compared with two sets of textbooks.The characteristics of the two sets of textbooks in China and the United States are analyzed,which provides reference for the preparation of textbooks and the teaching of teachers in China.
