People cannot exist independently from society. The individual as a "social person" is the foundation of his growth and development. When an individual completes a certain goal, sometimes he needs to cooperate with others, sometimes he needs to compete with others, sometimes he needs both cooperation and competition,so cooperation and competition are unavoidable realistic problems in individual social life.Joint action is one of the main forms of cooperation, which refers to the coordination of two or more people's behaviors in the time and space dimensions under the drive of the goal, making the environment produce a certain change to achieve the common goal, and the interpersonal situations of cooperation, competition and the individual ability of empathy play important roles in their joint action.Researching on joint action has also become a key issue in the study of joint cognition. The joint Simon task is a very good task to measure the individual's co-representation ability and the degree of self-other integration,so it is one of the main experimental research paradigms that researchers have involved in the study of joint action and spatial cognition in recent years. The joint Simon effect is also an important indicator to evaluate the degree to which individuals integrate others into their self-concept,and can be used as a standard to measure the performance of individuals in completing joint actions. On the basis of previous studies, this study uses the joint Simon task to conduct an experimental study, and innovatively adds the new interpersonal situation of "competition in cooperation"and takes trait empathy into account. On the basis of exploring the influence of interpersonal situation type on the joint action of junior high school students, this study further studies the role of empathy in the junior high school students' joint action so as to improve the relevant research on the joint action of junior high school students from the perspectives of interpersonal situation type and empathy ability, and explore the influencing factors and influencing mechanism of junior high school students' joint action. In order to guide junior high school students to treat cooperation and competition objectively, rationally and correctly, and to cultivate and improve their ability of cooperation and empathy to provide theoretical support, then put forward some new ideas and suggestions for teacher's teaching work. The experiment is a mixed experimental design of 2(space consistency:consistency,inconsistency)×3(interpersonal situation:cooperation, competition, competition in cooperation). The experiment sets up three interpersonal situations of cooperation, competition and competition in cooperation through guiding words,in which interpersonal situation is the between-subject factor and space consistency is the within-subject factor. Before the subjects completed the joint Simon task, they are asked to complete the?Interpersonal Reactivity Index(IRI-C)?scale to measure the empathy of the subjects.Repeated measurement analysis of variance is used to study the influence of interpersonal situation on joint actions of junior high school students. On the basis of the results of this study, trait empathy is introduced, and in order to explore the role of empathy in the influence of interpersonal situation types on joint actions of junior high school students. The research results show that:1.The joint Simon effect in the cooperation situation and the competition in cooperation situation is both significant, while in the competition situation it is not significant, but only little marginal.2.Taking the competition in cooperation situation as the control group, the joint Simon effect is the largest in this situation, followed by the cooperation situation and the smallest in the competition situation. Moreover, the difference of the joint Simon effect between the competition situation and the competition in cooperation situation is significant. And the joint Simon effect in this situation is also better than that in the cooperation situation, but the difference is not significant.3.Trait empathy plays a moderating role in the influence of interpersonal situation types on junior high school students'joint actions. The research conclusions show that:1.The interpersonal situation has influence on the joint action of junior high school students. In the competition in cooperation situation, the joint performance of joint action is the best, and the performance in the competitive situation is the worst. The results of this study strongly support the referential coding theory and also broaden the understanding of the co-representation theory.2.Compared with the cooperation situation and the competition situation, competition in cooperation situation can stimulate the motivation and enthusiasm of individuals to complete the joint action, which is not only conducive to the improvement of cooperative behavior, but also to the improvement of joint action performance. However, the competitive situation can't promote the performance of junior high school students' joint action.3.Trait empathy plays a moderating role in the influence of interpersonal situation types on junior high school joint actions. The moderating effect of trait empathy is significant in the high trait empathy group, that is,the better the performance of individuals with high trait empathy ability. However, the moderating effect of low trait empathy group is not significant. It can be seen that cultivating students' empathy ability can enhance their cooperative behavior.
