With the promulgation of the "National Medium and Long-Term Education Reform and Development Plan 2010-2020",China's vocational and technical education has entered a period of rapid development,and the enrollment scale and teacher strength have reached the highest level in history.Under such a development environment,this paper has undoubtedly has urgent practical significance for the study of the professional core competence of the tourism management majors in secondary vocational schools.Because the rapid development of tourism management profession,while meeting the needs of the market,will inevitably lead to the saturation of the job market,and inevitably put forward higher professional requirements for students,which is in line with the progress and development of society,and in line with the future characteristics of the profession.Therefore,the research on the core competence of the students has positive social significance both in reality and in the future.This paper conducts an in-depth scientific investigation of the tourism management students of Nanjing Business School,which more intuitively reflects the status quo and problems faced by the school's tourism management professional core competence training.These issues include:tourism management professionals training target positioning deviation,curriculum Unreasonable,teaching methods are not appropriate,the professional core competence of the faculty is weak,and the core competence evaluation model is not scientific.In order to improve the core competence level of the tourism management students in this school,the thesis proposes the training objectives of the core competence of tourism management students,optimizes the curriculum,strengthens practical teaching,strengthens the construction of the teaching staff of secondary vocational schools,and reforms the evaluation mechanism.Solve measures to ensure the effective cultivation of the core competence of the tourism management students in secondary vocational schools.
