| Music and drama activities are very popular among children.However,due to excessive teacher intervention during the process,children’s autonomy is lacking.This study mainly explores the effective ways of organizing children,s music and drama activities which can attract their active participation.The present study provides detailed suggestions for the implementation process as well as strategies to teachers who need to carry out music and drama activities aimed at 4-5 year-old children.The present study adopts the method of action research and takes Class Three of C City W Kindergarten as the sample.In closely cooperation with the class teachers and through four rounds of action research,the author formulates the activity plan which solves the problem of“what measures teachers can take to support children to carry out music drama activities independently".The first round of action research is to adjust the regional material placement and guide the children to rely less on the group activities experience.The second round of action research is to self-made necessary props and to enrich the performance experience of children;the third round of action research is to improve the ability to self-made props,learn to record the plot and make the script;the fourth round of action research is to solve the role contest problem by election,to sort out the network map and to learn to arrange the full activities.After the four rounds of practice,in the class theater activities,the teachers can finally retire,and the children can independently carry out music drama activities,which achieves the research goal.The research results show that providing children with more autonomy space would stimulate children’s participation initiative,promote various awareness and abilities such as their language expression,physical performance,imagination creation,cooperation and negotiation and many other aspects.Based on the research results,the author puts forward effective suggestions for carrying out 4-5 year-old children’s music and drama activities.That is,teachers should truly implement the”child-centered" education concept and children,s concept,give children more space and time,let themselves choose music,create plots,make props,assign tasks,as well as cooperate with others.Using scientific observation methods,teachers need to observe children,s behaviors in music and drama activities,try to discover whether music,props,substitutes are suitable or not,and follow the interest of young children and their experience.Teachers can select the contents of music and drama activities according to local festivals and seasonal characteristics,and use children’s favorite cartoons,songs,fairy tales etc.They can flexibly adopt different strategies,materials,sentiments,props to support children to carry out music and drama activities freely and autonomously.To optimize the guiding strategies for music and drama activities,they also need to timely and effectively reflect on the selection of content,the placement of materials,the timing of intervention guidance,and the use of guiding strategies during the activities.Finally,the researcher introspects on the entire action research and discover her own professional improvement. |
