At the end of the Qing Dynasty,under the influence of the reform of Qing Dynasty and the trend of thought of new learning,two new-style schools were built in Caozhou,namely the Caozhou government Middle school and the Caozhou Ordinary Middle school.After the establishment of the two schools,they persisted in the exploration of new education.With the adjustment of the government's education policy,the two schools were merged in 1913 and later renamed The sixth Middle School of Shandong Province.Since then,the construction of the school has been constantly improved and stepped into a period of stable development.By 1937,the school was forced to move to the south due to the War of Resistance Against Japan.The sixth Middle School of Shandong Province attached great importance to the curriculum,teachers and management system of school.In terms of curriculum,the school attached great importance to the all-round development and vision expansion of students.In terms of teachers,the school teachers not only had outstanding teaching ability and advanced educational concept,but also had noble teacher ethics.In terms of management system,the school had perfect administrative organization and detailed rules for students,and implemented the principle of combining leniency with strictness,which could effectively regulated students' behavior and protected students' rights and interests.In nearly half a century of running the school,the sixth Middle School adhered to the exploration and development of new education,which enabled the school to made great achievements in running the school and developed into Jiangbei famous school in the 1920 s and 1930 s.As a local middle school,Provincial sixth Middle Schoo not only received local support from Caozhou,but also had influence on Caozhou area.During the period of the two schools,the school attached great importance to the revolutionary ideological education of students and actively organized revolutionary activities,which played a great role in enlightening the revolutionary consciousness in Caozhou region.During the sixth Provincial Middle School,the school attached great importance to patriotic education,organized demonstrations,and promoted the development of national ideology in Caozhou.After graduating from No.6 Middle School,most students entered the education industry,which to some extent promoted the progress of education in Shandong.In the process of school development,the positive interaction between school development and local progress greatly promoted the modernization of Caozhou area.The reasons for the success of the Provincial Sixth Middle School have important reference significance for today's educational work.
