Because of China's large population base,medical care happens to be in great demamd.Medical industry therefore maintains a rapid and stable pace of development within current decades.Great improvement has been made in hospital capacities and clinical nurses play an essential role thereof.They provide nursing services,professional and meticulous,as well as contributing substantially to steady development of medical industry of our nation.However,in the midst of such progress,high-intensity workload,increasingly heavy life pressure,mental stress due to intense doctor-patients relationship and even worse,medical violence of any kinds,together lead to rise of the proportion of clinical nurses who has job burnout.Such situation has became increasingly severer,yet study in dealing job burnout problem is still lacking in our society.Amongst present studies,the majority of them come from the perspective of phychology or management rather than social work practice,but the latter seems to be of great importance,considering profoundly pratical significance.This dissertation studied the research problem of how to eliminate clinical nurses'job burnout.We chose an individual,Mr.Wang from hospital F,as our particular case,and designed a comprehensive method to get us involved in his job burnout problem.Overall,this dissertation is outlined into seven sections.Chapter one demonstrated the reason that this interest arised and clarified the significance of study,followed by relevant literature review.Comments were afterwards made,regarding the combination of the study status about job burnout problem and the depth that social works get involved,both domestically and internationally.The pool of preparation was enriched with referred theoretical basis(explained in detail)and accordingly,we contrusted cornerstones of theoretical framework.At the end of this chapter,the framework was carved to fit this scenario,in which data gathering method was determined to be in-depth interview and participant observation.Thus,research roadmap turned out,so does the innovations of our study.In chapter two,we researched the status of job burnout of clinical nurses and analysed the corresponding demands.Twenty-three samples of individual were selected to be interviewed in depth,according to the interview brief.After cataloged and collated the massive information,the underlying reasons of job burnout and demands to each type of problem were derived.Estalishment of intervention approach by social works beginned from chapter three,in which feasibility came first.As a result,casework method was chosen to practice,of.which the fundamentals behind and the service targets were fully addressed.Furthermore,there would be introductions of each target's basic information so that we could assess individually and make separate service objectives and plans.Chapter four recorded the processes applying our methods,which was divided into four stages,establishing professional relationship,caring their inner space,constructing social supporting.neteork and summarizing respectively.In the proceeding duration,we implemented social supporting theorems throughout in analysis of problem and decision making of approach.Besides,energized theory contributed significantly to release the potentials of service targets during the early design stage and in-depth interview,so as to carry forward social wotks' core ideology of helping human to help oneself.The last three chapters are mainly about conclusions,summaries and suggestions.In chapter five,casework services were evaluated from two angles,process assessment and effectiveness evaluation respevtively.The former was made up with three parts,early,middle and late stages,while the later drew conclusion from results and satisfaction questionnaire survey.Chapter six discussed about the gain and examination.First of all,the experience,woking apprpaches and thoughts that are worth of learning were well-represented,providing reference for successors.Problems existing in this research were also adressed and analysed objectively to avoid similar mistake in future.In the very last chapter,there were several suggestions regarding constructing social supporting networks for clinical nurses,summarised in the perspectives of individual,hospital and society.In conclusion,this dissertation suggests positive and effective effects that social workers can bring in conducting multifariously practical issues faced by clinical nurses.Under the guidance of social networks supporting theory,social workers can establish a social supporting system for service individuals by utilizing professional social work method,further motivating positive relations between clinical nurses and every social supporting group.Job burnout porblem could therefore get effective and efficient alleviation.
