The implementation of quality education is inseparable from reducing the burden.Reducing the burden of students’ schoolwork is the focus of the current society.The main purpose of reducing the burden is to make students healthy in body and mind and develop actively.The purpose of this study is to investigate the current situation of the mathematics burden of junior middle school students in Keerqin District,Tongliao City,and to interview students and teachers’ attitudes towards reducing the mathematics burden of students,so as to understand the main manifestations of the mathematics burden of junior middle school students and the factors leading to the mathematics burden of junior middle school students.Recently,I hope this research can provide some guidance for junior middle school mathematics teachers to reduce students’ homework burden.This article mainly adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview to study the current situation of junior middle school students’ mathematics homework burden under the background of reducing the burden.First of all,it expounds the theoretical basis of the research on junior middle school students’ mathematics schoolwork burden under the background of reducing the burden;Secondly,it investigates the current situation of the schoolwork burden of junior middle school students under the background of reducing the burden,and finds two problems,namely,students and teachers.In the aspect of students,there are two problems: some students do not want to complete math homework and some students do a lot of homework without improving their math scores.Teachers include two aspects: some junior middle school mathematics teachers assign a large number of homework,strong repetition and single form,and some junior middle school mathematics teachers take the break time to give lectures.From time to time,it analyzes the reasons for the existing problems,which are also divided into two aspects:students and teachers.The reasons for students’ problems are that some students are not interested in mathematics learning and mathematics homework,some students do not absorb well in class and finish their homework mechanically.The reasons for the problems of teachers are that some teachers have traditional ideas and do not pay attention to the individual differences of students,some teachers do not have strong ability to control the classroom and teaching efficiency is not high.Finally,it puts forward two strategies for the junior middle school mathematics teachers in Horqin district of Tongliao City in teaching and assignment.Among them,teachers should do three things in Teaching:(1)cultivate students’ interest in mathematics learning and reduce students’ psychological burden of completing mathematics lessons;(2)Provide students with network teaching resources to facilitate students to better absorb mathematical knowledge;(3)Grasp the time in class to teach students appropriate teaching content and avoid occupying students’ break time.In terms of homework assignment,teachers should do the following two points: teach students in accordance with their aptitude,arrange,check and eliminate homework in layers,so as to diversify the forms of homework and improve students’ interest.
