Basic education is a foundational project to train talents and improve the quality of the people.Based on the review of relevant educational policy documents and the reading of a large number of books and literatures,the connotation of the key abilities of primary school teachers is defined.By means of investigation and interview,this paper investigates the status quo of primary school teachers' key abilities,comprehensively understands the status quo and existing problems of primary school teachers' key abilities,analyzes the causes of the problems,and proposes corresponding solutions.The following problems were found through the investigation:First,the structure of gender,age and teaching age of primary school teachers in Q city,A province is not reasonable.Second,the overall level of teachers' key abilities is general.There is no significant difference in gender,whether the teachers have graduated from normal colleges or not,and whether the teachers are employed or not.However,there are significant differences in teaching age,age,educational background and professional title.Thirdly,by analyzing the specific data of each dimension of primary school teachers' key abilities,it is found that the following problems exist in all six dimensions of primary school teachers' key abilities: weak concepts and consciousness;Lack of relevant theoretical knowledge;Lack of methods;Practice,scientific research ability is not strong.According to the investigation and analysis,the following countermeasures are proposed:From the perspectives of government departments,schools and teachers themselves,this paper analyzes the factors that influence primary school teachers' key abilities,and puts forward specific strategies to improve teachers' moral education ability,teaching ability,evaluation ability,reflection ability,innovation ability and cooperation ability.
