In 2018,UNESCO issued a summary report on School Violence and Bullying:Global Status and Trends,Drivers and Consequences.According to the report,1/3 of teenagers in 144 countries and regions in the world are being bullied. It can be seen that campus bullying is widespread in the world, and it is an urgent educational problem to be solved all over the world. From the end of the 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century,Australia began with the first Australian study on bullying published by Rigby and Sri in 1991.Through years of exploration and practice, from the national federal government to community schools in various states, the corresponding anti-bullying policies were promulgated at all levels, and a relatively perfect prevention and control system of campus bullying was established. This paper aims to provide enlightenment for the prevention and treatment of campus bullying in China by studying the phenomenon and prevention strategies of campus bullying in Australia. This paper includes the following six chapters:The first chapter is introduction.Firstly, the author analyses the background and significance of this study, then combs the current research status of this field at home and abroad, and elaborates the related concepts of campus bullying in detail, and puts forward the research ideas and methods of this paper.Chapter Two:An analysis of bullying on Australian campuses. This part mainly discusses the types of campus bullying in Australia, the location of campus bullying in Australia, the frequency of campus bullying in Australia, and the reaction of campus bullying in Australia.Chapter Three:The causes of campus bullying. This part mainly discusses from four aspects:individual reason, family reason, school reason and social reason,Among them, individual reason is the most critical factor leading to campus bullying in Australia.Chapter Four:Adverse effects of school bullying in Australia,i.e.on individuals, families and schools, and on society and economy.Among them, bullying has a long-term negative impact on individuals. It not only causes serious physical and mental trauma to the victim, makes them feel anxious, fearful and painful, affects their normal learning and life, but also produces a series of cascade reactions in family and society.Chapter Five:Strategies to Prevent and Cure Bullying in Australian Campuses. The first is the policy and legal guarantee at the national level, such as NSSF,NCAB,etc. The second is the prevention strategy and policy at the state level, such as New South Wales anti-bullying policy,Queensland anti-bullying policy, and then the anti-bullying measures at the school level, such as measures taken to prevent bullying, when bullying occurs. The measures followed by social anti-bullying projects, such as Student Welfare Centers and Resources,Be You-National Mental Health Education Initiative,National Schools Pastoral Program NSCP,and so on.Chapter Six is the evaluation and reference of the prevention and control strategies of bullying in Australian schools.Australia's strategy of preventing and curing campus bullying is based on paying attention to students' well-being,emphasizing on creating a safe and healthy learning environment, integrating the participation of schools and all sectors of society, and building a coping mechanism for preventing and curing campus bullying.Drawing lessons from Australia's strategy of preventing and curing campus bullying,China should carry out such measures as highly legalizing the policy of preventing and curing campus bullying, requiring schools to formulate anti-bullying plans, emphasizing practical research and policy updating, emphasizing the concurrence of supervision and reporting, strengthening professional training for teachers and staff, enhancing students, subjectivity and participation, and strengthening the propaganda role of network media.
