Research On The Application Of POEC Teaching Strategies In "Material Structure And Properties" From The Perspective Of Core Literacy

This paper wants to test and verify the effectiveness of applying the POEC teaching strategy which aim to cultivate students’ key competencies from the Material Structure and Properties module by using literature,survey,experiment and other research methods.Based on discussing the theory of how the POEC teaching strategy applies to the Material Structure and Properties module,the current teaching situation can be known through students’ questionnaires and teachers’ interviews.After studying The Chemistry Curriculum Standard of General Senior High School(2017 Edition)and analyzing the teaching materials and learning situation of the Material Structure and Properties of the education elective 3 textbook,POEC teaching strategy is used to design teaching cases and apply them to teaching practice.The improvement of students’ key competencies can be examined by compiling the questions based on the key competencies and gathering the results of student interview.Finally the following conclusions are drawn: The POEC teaching strategy has positive effects on students’ key competencies;The POEC teaching strategy can improve in the key competencies of students at different levels;The POEC teaching strategy can improve the teaching and learning situation of the Material Structure and Properties effectively.
