The new module Material Structure and Properties,which from the perspective of microscope of material,counts significantly in Chemistry in high school.It targets at helping students to understand the relations between material structure and material nature,on the basis of which it also intents to enable students to acquire some basic methods of human exploration in material structure.Furthermore,it aims at enhancing their ability of analyzing and solving problems.There are many difficulties in the learning of this module for high school students.Some of the new knowledge in this module may only show shallow information in textbooks.Students think it is abstract and vague,thus they have difficulties in understanding.As a result of which,insufficient enthusiasm in the classroom often occurs because of students' lack of understanding.But the knowledge of material structure can not be ignored in students' knowledge reserve and ability training.The knowledge is the basic of structure chemical learning.It will also lay the foundation for the students in further learning.Besides,it helps them to understand the nature of things from the material microscopic structure.From a comprehensive point of view,it is necessary to do some surveys to understand the students' learning status and the causes of the difficulties in the process.In combination with students' immediate problems,we should find some feasible solutions and truly improve students' enthusiasm for learning.Therefore,the author chose J High School Student in Hubei Province as the study object.Based on the literature review,the author prepared questionnaires and interview outlines to understand the learning status and difficulties of the students' learning about the "Material Structure and Nature" module.The survey questionnaire is mainly to understand the students' learning status from the students' feelings about the contents of the teaching materials,the teaching of the teachers,the pre-curricular activities of the students,the courses,the learning methods used after the class,and the strategies of dealing with difficulties.The interviews were conducted directly with students and teachers.They shared their feelings and experiences when learning this module.They aimed to understand the students' learning methods and requirements,and further confirmed the causes of difficulties in students' structural chemistry learning.The survey found that students' difficulties in learning are:the strength and ion of the theoretical content of the module itself so it is not easy to be understood;the effects of the teacher's teaching;the lack of ability and learning methods of students to learn this module.In view of the above learning difficulties,this article proposes some improvements:First,in terms of the characteristics of abstraction and difficulties,teachers in the teaching should deeply analyze and understand the textbook,focusing on helping students to construct a logical relationship between some of the concepts in the module,and building a knowledge structural network map as well as building a knowledge bridge.Second,the application of perceptual rules to promote intuitive teaching should be concentrated on.For example,theory should contact with practice.A reasonable situation is ought to be provided,to stimulate resonance and promote understanding.And multimedia information technology should also treated as an aid to understand the microstructure,which will help students to solidify the material structure and get better understanding.Mining resources and experimental exploration to enhance the sense of students' experience are also needed.Third,in view of the lack of learning ability and learning methods,it is suggested that teaching should pay attention to method guidance and guide the ability development guidance.It is mainly divided into three stages:method guidance and ability development.The study plan should be preset first,followed by pre-class and pre-reading and goal setting to guide autonomous learning.While in class instructing and using methods should be thought highly of:problem teaching,setting problem gradients,solving complex problems step by step,emphasizing on training students' information extraction and processing capabilities,etc.,to embody structural chemistry learning characteristics.After class,students are guided to give feedback and reflection and make analysis about their blind points,and make the summary,and consolidation.Encouragement education is encouraged to enhance,the non-intelligence quality of students and subjective initiative of learning among students.Finally,the above-mentioned solution strategies are applied to the teaching practice research.By comparing the results of students in the experimental group and the results of the students in the control group,it is tested whether the implementation of these solutions is effective to helpe students to overcome difficulties.Practice has shown that the solutions to the aforementioned learning difficulties improve student achievement to a certain extent and cultivate the students' learning ability and thinking ability,and also help them master the basic skills and methods of learning structural chemistry.
