With the development of economic globalization and the increasing world cultural exchange,the traditional Chinese culture has suffered a certain impact which leads to a situation that local culture,local music and instruments are facing great challenges.Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,President Xi raised the cultural confidence,he mentioned several times and expressed his respect to the high value of Chinese traditional culture and ideology in setting a profound theoretical basis and spreading our traditional culture.he emphasized the essential of fully implementing party 's educational policy,strengthening morality and quality education in order to cultivate the future socialist successor with all-round development.Meanwhile,paying attention to the inheritance and development of traditional culture.Erhu is the treasure of Chinese traditional musical instruments,in Raoyang County of Hengshui City,it has the largest national instruments production base in the north of China and an industrial cluster of instruments called "National Erhu Scientific Research and Production Base" under the support of institutions.Erhu owns a unique local heritage foundation.The introduction of traditional musical instrument erhu into local extra-curricular music education will not only increase the understanding and interest of the traditional culture,but also improves student's art accomplishment,meanwhile,providing a solid foundation for increasing the local traditional cultural atmosphere.This paper mainly studies on the practice and problems of Erhu community activities in extra-curricular music education of primary schools by using questionnaires,interviews and case studies to investigate the establishment and organization of Erhu communities in Raoyang County No.2 Primary school of Hengshui City.This paper consists of an introduction and four chapters.The introduction briefly presents the research background,research significance,concept limits,research methods,literature collection and arrangement,leading to the main research content of this paper.The first chapter is to introduce the cultural and historical background information of Raoyang County,presenting the advantages in organizing activities of Erhu community in Raoyang County as well as elaborating the development of activities.The second chapter is to explore the teaching practice of the Erhu community by specifically introducing and analyzing the teaching arrangements,teaching process and teaching methods,concluding a teaching summary by overall first and partial sections backwards.Then it carries out analysis and collection on the questionnaire survey of the students participating in the community and the interview results of their parents to find out the existing problems.The third chapter is to combine the problems found in the previous chapter,formulate solutions,and then conducts summarization and thought on the activities of Erhu community,so as to put forward five teaching suggestions for improving the teaching quality of the Erhu community.
