China is one of the countries with frequent,diverse and serious disasters in the world,and with the development of social economy and the enhancement of human activities,the loss of natural disasters is growing at a faster rate.Due to the poor defense capability of people,effective improvement should be made on the current basis on how to prevent disasters before they happen,how to deal with disasters when they happen,and how to deal with disasters after they happen.Therefore,it is urgent to reduce the loss caused by disaster through disaster education.The International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction states that "education is central to disaster mitigation planning and knowledge is the key to success in disaster mitigation".Schools play an extremely important role in disaster education,and geography classes in senior high schools provide a good platform for disaster education.Based on the theory of sustainable development,The Marxist theory of all-round human development,the theory of life education,and the theory of constructivism,this paper USES the method of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview to study the disaster education in senior high school geography teaching in combination with the characteristics of local geography.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:First of all,through to the Linyi city high school students of three high school teacher's telephone interview and questionnaire,the understanding and combed the Linyi city high school geography teaching in the implementation of disaster education present situation,it is concluded that high school geographical disaster education exist poor students' consciousness of disaster,disaster prevention practice ability is poor students,the participation degree of the disaster drills formalization,disasters study form a single,disaster problems such as teaching methods can not meet the demand of students.Then,according to the results of the student questionnaire and teacher interview from education research,social environment and family background and so on different angles,from different subject level,such as schools,teachers and students of high school geography education existing problems of formation are discussed in this paper,analysis the cause of the disaster education problem basically has the following several aspects: Students disaster awareness low lead to disaster awareness is not enough,the teaching material knowledge system towards disaster influence students learning,students participate in disaster prevention drill interested in reducing their poor motivation,teaching module compression led to the decrease of the quality of the students disasters,old ideas lead to inadequate school education knowledge standard,diversified evaluation does not reach the designated position lead toknowledge and skills do not match.Finally,on the basis of drawing lessons from foreign geographical disaster education experience and combining with the actual situation of Linyi city,the following promotion strategies are proposed from the aspects of learning motivation,teaching concept,teaching method,teaching resources and teaching evaluation.Based on the reality of students,local geography permeates disaster education;Teachers take the interest of students as the center to actively enrich access to disaster knowledge and play a leading role in the example;Arrange the teaching time according to the time period of local disasters;Make active use of extracurricular practice to enhance the interest of learning;Strengthen the links between disciplines,make all-round evaluation on students to form a diversified evaluation mechanism,and actively cooperate with geography class.This study discusses the current situation and causes of disaster education in geography teaching in senior high schools in China,and puts forward corresponding teaching improvement strategies,which can provide some references for better implementing disaster education in geography teaching in senior high schools and enhancing students' awareness and ability of disaster prevention.
