Case Work Involved In The Study Of The Violent Behavior Correction Of The Perpetrators Of Rural Junior High School Students

Abstract/Summary:
In recent years,with the news media more and more exposure of campus violence,campus violence has become a hot issue that can not be ignored.Looking at the performance of campus violence can be found,campus violence occurs at most in junior school period,the impact is also great.Junior high school students are in adolescence,a sensitive period of growth,children’s self-adjustment ability is poor,cognitive level is not yet fully matured.If they can not get the correct guidance and set up the correct outlook on life and the world,they will be prone to emotional instability and go to extreme situations.This study is based on the author’s practical case,through counseling case master Xiao Zhi(not his real name),to adjust his irrational cognition,violence behavior correction.In the study,the author used the methods of Literature,observation and interview to collect the relevant data of campus violence,analyze the data of the subject,and have in-depth communication with the subject and his family to diagnose the problem,the following problems were found:(1)the subject had an irrational understanding of violence and was used to solving problems by violence;(2)the parents had been away from work for a long time and had a strange relationship with the subject,so they did not get effective guidance after the occurrence of violence;(3)the case owner is in adolescence and does not understand the changes of adolescence itself and can not control his emotions well;(4)the case owner has poor academic performance and is in the middle and lower reaches of the class;(5)the case owner is not close to his classmates and has few friends,a friend or two is also used to violence.Through the analysis of the above problems,the following needs of the case-owners are obtained:(1)to correct the case-owner’s irrational cognition of violent behavior,and to correct their violent behavior;(3)help the case-owner to understand their own changes in adolescence and release their emotions reasonably;(4)improve their academic performance and improve the relationship between the case-owners and their classmates;(5)establish a correct view of friendship.Based on the above analysis of the problems and needs of the subject of the case,the author’s research mainly lies in the application of cognitive behavior therapy model to serve the subject of the case,to correct and guide his violent behavior,it completes the practical process from case needs assessment,planning,intervention to assessment,case closure and reflection,and provides practical reference for follow-up researchers by summarizing the results and experience of this study.In this paper,literature,observation and interview were used to collect the information about the violent behavior of the rural junior middle school students,and based on the theory of cognitive behavior,cognitive behavior therapy model was used to apply the service object,to correct and counsel his violent behavior.Based on the above analysis of the problems and needs of the clients,the social workers adhere to the principles of self-consciousness of case owners and value neutrality,and strictly follow the case work plan through service forms such as interviews of case social work,to provide targeted services to clients from the aspects of rational management of emotions,establishment of correct outlook on friendship,adaptation to adolescence,improvement of relations with parents,discovery of their own advantages and resources,and good daily planning and arrangement,correct their irrational cognition,rebuild their correct cognition,and finally give up their violent behavior.With the joint efforts of social workers and clients,the service objectives have been basically achieved,but there are still many deficiencies that need to be improved.
