China has successively implemented a new round of basic education curriculum reform in 2001.In the reform,it is explicitly pointed out that "Paying attention to students' interest".Emphasizing on the interest of learning from the national level has greatly encouraged research scholars and front-line educators to study the interest of students in learning.In psychology,it is believed that the promotion of learning interest can enhance the learning efficiency and increase self-efficacy.The interest of learning is not only the beginning of learning,but also the result of the study.The author is working as a teacher in a rural school in Shuangzhao town,Xianyang city,Shaanxi province.During the teaching period,the author found that students' interest of learning chemistry in the last year of junior high school is not stable.Especially in the second semester,their exam grades in chemistry declined and the students' enthusiasm in classes also decreased.Therefore,it is urgent to investigate the level of interest of rural junior high school students in chemistry learning and explore the influencing factors,so as to improve education and teaching.In this thesis,with the guidance of relevant theoretical research on learning interest,by combining teaching practice and literature research as well as interview method and questionnaire survey,we study the current status of chemistry learning interest of junior high school students in Shuangzhao town and the nearby rural areas,and analyzed factors that affect students' interest in chemistry learning.From the perspective of students' expectations,some strategies have been designed to increase the interest of the countryside junior middle school students in chemistry learning.The content and important conclusions of this thesis are as follows:1.Introduction.The reasons and significance of the topic are explained;combining with the theories of psychology and pedagogy,relevant concepts are defined.The research status at home and abroad is expounded,and on this basis,the research methods and research directions of the thesis are determined.2.Research process.On the basis of literature research,interviews were conducted with chemistry teachers and some students in rural junior middle schools within the survey scope,and a questionnaire survey on "Investigation of Rural Junior High School Students' Interest in Chemistry Learning” was prepared.After the initial test,the contents of the questionnairewere adjusted to make the reliability and validity of the questionnaire meet the research requirements.A total of 266 valid questionnaires were collected through the questionnaire online.The survey results were analyzed with SPSS16.0 and plotted with EXCEL spreadsheet.3.Analysis of the current situation and reasons of rural middle school students' interest in chemistry learning.The results show that:(1)The overall level of chemistry learning interest of junior middle school students in rural areas is high,but it shows a decreasing trend over time,and some students' interest is unstable.(2)Teachers and students agree that experiments are the most important factor to generate interest in chemistry learning.(3)For students themselves,their academic performance and graduation expectations affect their interest in chemistry learning to some extent,but gender has no significant effect.(4)In terms of learning environment,home address and parents' company have no significant influence on learning interest,while factors influencing chemistry learning interest include parents' educational level,parents' requirements and class learning atmosphere.(5)In terms of teachers,teacher gender has no significant influence on learning interest.Teacher-student relationship and teacher evaluation are related to learning interest,and students have obvious preference for teaching style.(6)In terms of teaching,the content of the textbook is valuable and interesting,and the appropriate introduction,teaching,learning,evaluation and incentive methods can play a positive role in stimulating students' interest in chemistry learning.4.Strategies for cultivating students' interest in chemistry in rural junior high schools.In this part,the author mainly analyzes from the perspective of students' expectations and puts forward suggestions from the two aspects of teachers' direct role and teaching environment.The following five strategies for the interest cultivation of rural junior high school students are proposed:(1)Condense the art of teaching and enhance the charm of teachers.(2)Optimize the first impression and stimulate the learning interest.(3)Use experiments skillfully to ignite students' interest in chemistry.(4)Connect with the reality of life and make knowledge take root in life.(5)Optimize teaching strategies and break the barriers of improving learning interest.
