With the growth of the migrant workers' number,more and more migrant workers' children follow their parents to live and study in cities.After studying in city,the children have some psychological maladjustment conditions,which are manifested as weak learning foundation,bad grades and insufficient learning ability.Among them,the problem of Chinese reading comprehension is particularly serious,which not only affects the Chinese learning,but also affects the learning of other subjects.In order to solve the difficulties in Chinese reading,Chinese teachers should help students do more extensive reading,develop their interest in reading extensively and improve their reading ability.Based on the reading characteristics of the children and the article characteristics in textbooks,teachers choose reading materials that are really beneficial to students,integrate and apply them rationally,and try to expand reading training.The author hopes to research effective strategies to improve the reading ability of the migrant workers' children.The paper takes author's primary school and nearby school as examples.This research does a questionnaire survey on students,teachers and parents to understand the difficulties in expanding reading and the teachers and parents' guidance.Based on the survey results,the paper analyzes the reasons for the influence and finds out more suitable problem-solving strategies,hoping to provide some powerful practical exploration for the children's reading teaching.This paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter one: introduction.This chapter briefly introduces the origin and significance of researching and makes a brief literature review of previous studies on “children of migrant workers ”and “extended reading”,so as to serve as a reference for the following research.And this chapter defines the core concepts of the research and determines the methods of this research.Chapter two: investigation on the current situation of Chinese reading in primary schools for children of migrant workers.This chapter designs the questionnaire,determines the implementation measures for the investigation and combs survey results.Chapter three: analysis of the influence of extended reading on children of migrant workers.Through the aspects of students,teachers and learning environment,the paper tries to analyze the causes of influence comprehensively so as to exploresolutions.Chapter four: implementation suggestions on expanding reading for children of migrant workers.This is the last part of this paper.This chapter puts forward reasonable suggestions on the promotion of reading awareness,stimulating reading interest,exploring the law of reading,strengthening reading guidance.This is also a solution to the problem of extended reading for the children of migrant workers summed up through the above analysis and teaching practice.
