Early childhood is a critical period for language learning.Children's ability to use language is mainly reflected in the narrative process.The cultivation of children's narrative ability will have an important impact on their language ability and even their overall development.In this study,two children from parallel middle classes were selected as research objects in Luoyang B kindergarten,the experimental class and the control class were randomly divided,ten picture books were used as reading materials to conduct experimental intervention for ten weeks in the experimental class,the control class did not conduct any intervention.To explore the influence of picture book sharing and reading activities on the development of middle class children's narrative ability.In this study,SPSS 25.0 data processing software was used to conduct statistical analysis on the data measured before and after the experimental class and the control class.The following conclusions can be drawn from the research results:1.Picture book sharing and reading activities can promote the development of middle class children's narrative ability.2.Picture book sharing and reading activities promote the four dimensions of "narrative length","vocabulary level","sentence structure" and "performance" of middle class children.3.There is no significant difference in the influence of picture book sharing reading on the narrative ability of middle class children of different genders.4.Picture book sharing and reading activities promote the "expressiveness" of middle class children.Girls are better than boys.Sharing and reading based on picture books is of great significance to the development of middle class children's narrative ability,the researchers made the following educational recommendations: 1.Guiding strategies for teachers to carry out picture book sharing and reading activities:(1)Selection of reading materials;(2)Guide children with open and heuristic questions;(3)Attach importance to the exploration and extension of reading activities.2.Home cooperation to improve the quality of children's reading picture books:(1)Construct a reading community of home picture books;(2)Carry out parents' experiential reading activities of picture books.
