Teacher authority is an important means of education and a necessary guarantee for the smooth development of education and teaching activities.But it is like a scalpel,good use,can help students grow up healthily,bad use,may cause harm to students' body and mind.Different times have different requirements on teachers' functions,and teacher authority has different forms.This paper mainly discusses the different manifestations of "teacher authority" in three historical periods: agricultural civilization,industrial civilization and information civilization.In the period of agricultural civilization,the education objects were limited to a few people,and the number of teachers was also relatively small.Since the beginning of the western zhou dynasty,the policy of the integration of politics and religion,and the integration of officials and teachers has been formed.Although the mainstream ideology of the society has changed in the long course of history,teachers have always been respected,and the social system and traditional culture give teachers a high authority.In the period of industrial civilization,the productive forces were greatly improved,mechanical production replaced handicraft production,and the production efficiency was greatly improved.The society needed more talents who knew production technology,and people had more time to learn cultural knowledge.The knowledge authority of teachers was prominent.In this era,in order to import workers to factories,system is needed to guarantee the efficiency of education,so the teacher authority in the industrial civilization period is mainly manifested in the knowledge authority and the system authority.The information civilization period is characterized by the rapid development of information technology.Network technology and information technology are extremely developed,the speed of social development is unprecedented.The rapid development of information technology has not only changed people's way of life,but also changed people's way of learning.A new era of education in the era background of information civilization,to the quality requirement of the teachers and students is different from other age,education is faced with reform,at this time a lot of new education and the education idea,the major form of teacher authority has changed,but many teachers didn't really recognize teacher authority of the new era,in the actual education teaching by means of the effective education teacher authority when encountered some confusion,so to help teachers to build a new era makes sense of authority.This paper is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction,including the origin of the problem,the significance of the research problem,the review of previous research achievements and the introduction of research design and research methods;The second part is an overview of teacher authority,which includes the definition of the core concepts,the analysis and summary of the sources of teacher authority and the analysis of the influencing factors of teacher authority.The third part mainly introduces the concept summary of teacher authority and the characteristics of teacher authority in three historical periods.The fourth part analyzes the current status of teacher authority through interviews and case studies,and describes the difficulties and problems encountered by modern teachers in teaching practice.The fifth part,based on the analysis of the status quo of teacher authority and the analysis of the characteristics of teacher authority in three historical periods,proposes that the transformation of teacher authority is an effective way to solve the current problem of teacher authority,summarizes the characteristics of teacher authority in the new era,and provides strategies for the subsequent construction of teacher authority in the new era.The sixth part,based on the previous literature review and the actual interview results,proposes the strategies for teachers to build the authority of teachers in the new era.The conclusion of this study is that: each historical period has different requirements on teacher authority.In the information civilization period,teacher authority faces many challenges,both internal and external.In a word,many teachers cannot really understand the new era of teacher authority in the era of information civilization,and they will encounter a lot of confusion in educational practice.Therefore,teacher authority needs to be transformed in the era of information civilization.The construction of teacher authority in the new era also needs to start from the internal and external aspects.
