The authority of teacher is a reflection of the influence relationship between the teacher and student, an important education resource and power generation, which influences the development of student and the education activities. Educational Pathology refers to weakening,disordering and even loss of educational function, because of the influence of education external environment and the inner structures.The teacher authority distortion existed in the current educational practice is just an expression of the education pathology, which can produce a negative function to the development of students and education.Education is a special activity by the people involved and eventually points to the development of human.why the teacher authority is anamorphic, just because it depart from the essence of education mentioned above. Therefore, we need to correct the teacher authority distortion. In our country, currently whether education theory or the practice of educational reform, has been paying more and more attention on the intrinsic value of education, which is called People oriented Education. So to adapt to this, the teacher authority objectively needs to return its real look.This paper attempts to define the core concept, analysis the existing problems, explore the causes of these problems, and put forward the corresponding countermeasures by four steps, so this it will include four parts just as follow:Firstly, defining what is real teacher authority.Comparing with authorities in the other social fields,teacher authority is a special one existed in the education field. So standing on the standpoint of education, this paper analysis the connotation of "education" and "authority" and then grasps their Common characteristics. On the basis of that, finally it comes to the conclusion:the real teacher authority is a kind of education power, which is originated from the teacher,trusted by the student, and has a positive and far-reaching influence to the growth of the student.Secondly, describing the distortion of teacher authority existing in the practice of education.Fundamentally, the teacher authority distortion is that it deviated from the nature of education requirements.there are two kinds of forms:(1)The authority of teachers is replaced by "authoritarianism",evolved into pure management and control, so it is a false authority,reflecting a kind of negative energy to the education.(2)the teacher authority shows such a state as this:it neither promote nor hinder the students’ growth, reflecting a kind of no energy, so it is a authority with nothingness.Thirdly, exploring the causes of the distortion of teacher authority. The true teacher authority originated from real educational life, where the teacher and student could have their common association.But in practice, various of factors, coming from external and internal education, directly or indirectly leads to the real educational life damaged or destructed.Thus,the true teacher authority lost the objective conditions of its existence,and eventually goes to a alienation just as the distortion of teacher authority.Specifically speaking, these factors include these:the rational people and the rational view of knowledge from rationalism philosophy; the autocratic thought of China traditional authority culture;the serious management tendency of school evaluation system.Finally,put forward the countermeasures about how teacher authority returns to the true.Based on the representation and attribution analysis, accomplish the regression of True Authority of Teachers through strengthening irrational values into in education; inheriting the positive factors of Chinese traditional education thoughts to establish the correct view of teacher authority and constructing evaluation system that concerning of teachers and students’development.
