| In the process of China’s higher education reform,the issue of performance evaluation of university teachers has drawn wide public concern.However,at present,many college teachers’ performance evaluations have the phenomenon of focusing on scientific research and light teaching,imbalance between teaching and research,and one-sided performance evaluation indicators.Therefore,the scientific and normative setting of performance appraisal indicators affects the enthusiasm of teachers and the scientific nature of college teachers’ evaluation,which is an important content in the performance evaluation of college teachers.The research in depth explores the main dimensions of the performance evaluation of teachers in research-type universities with regional features,and builds a system on this basis.The study finds that teachers’ professional quality accounts for the largest share in the whole evaluation system,but performance evaluation can not blindly emphasize the professional quality of teachers,but also pay attention to social influence of teachers,quality of student development as well as learning and growth of teachers.The performance evaluation of college teachers needs to focus on the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods.It is also necessary to pay attention to the social benefits generated by college teachers in addition to teaching.This paper constructs a comprehensive performance evaluation system for teachers in research-type universities with regional features and put forward targeted suggestions.It makes up for the deficiencies of imbalance of science and education and one-sided performance evaluation indicators and effectively complements the dimension research of performance evaluation of college teachers.The research of this paper may expand the theoretical perspective of college teachers’ performance evaluation,that is,the research on the background of regional characteristic research universities,and it may also provide a direct reference for the practice of college teachers’ performance evaluation in China.In theory,based on the perspective of the establishment of regional characteristic research universities,the research on the performance evaluation of college teaching and research teachers means that colleges should pay more attention to regional positioning and characteristic development,and more prominent professional and skillful.In practice,it emphasizes the comprehensiveness and feasibility of the performance evaluation of college teachers.It is hoped that the performance system constructed can more comprehensively evaluate the performance of teachers in the teaching and researchpost of regional characteristic research universities,and thus effectively improve the performance of teachers in colleges and universities. |
